To be honest, I will say I am very scared to start discussing Call of Duty 5. I want to enjoy Call of Duty 4! :pComment

i would like to see rediculously big maps
more realistic weapon control.. especially on the sniper rifle.. and i have always been VERY VERY happy whith call of duty graphics so everything in that department is cool :) if they follow suit to their previouse games.

What about a Korean era war? They have a few Vietnam's and a few (well more than a few) WWII's why not a Korean war game?Comment

IMO, it's difficult to just take any war setting and make a game of it. Just like a good map, there has to be some kind of unique-ness to it.
Some of the more famous wars (WWII Europe/Africa, Vietnam jungle, current Iraq/Afghanistan urban conflict) are easy, but for lesser-known wars like Korea, I think a developer might have a hard time attracting people to it. I'm not as knowlegeable about various historical wars as other people, but when I think of Korea, nothing really jumps out at me, other than memories of M*A*S*H* on TV.Comment

If Triehard software can't produce a modern day shooter, then I'm not interested.
WWII games have been around for ages and have sucked every well known (or "Hollywood-ized") battle dry. I don't want to know what some small Allied unit secretly did to turn the tides of WWII.
If I see another swastika in a game i'm going to scream!
/end rant.
Seriously, if we have to go old school, can't we go to Korea or Vietnam??? :)Comment

CIVIL WAR :yay:
Everyone line up, get 3 shots every minute. You can have perks to increase your shooting to 4 shots every minute. Good teamwork. Kinda squad based because someone has to yell fire and to make rank. Itd be great

Mmmmm, trenches and mustard gas. That would be good. Shotgun warfare was popular then.

I've heard many people including myself who think a Revolutionary War, Civil War, or WWI game would be great. The technology is there now where it could make it fun instead of just lame if it was made ten years ago.
I love WWII, but I do love CoD4, the first modern game to keep my attention. I usually get bored after a month or two of other modern games. I do miss my single shot rifles though.
