What I like about Cartoon GFX

I like the cartoon graphics of this game, simply because it fits in better with a average poly count. Honestly realistic graphics and low poly counts don't mix too well. BF2 has a low poly count, as well as a lack of any other method of having realistic graphics.

    What do you all think?

eh... i see what you're saying. I mostly like the cartoony graphics because I know it doesn't take much computing power to render them, so it can be played on a wide range of setups. it can also allow more content like bigger maps more weapons and vehicles, stuff like that

Yeah, it's less work for EA/DICE also, since it's easier to make a cartoony building rather than a realistic building.

Team Fortress 2 is great largely because of its cartoonish style.

Cartoony games are a really nice change from the "Crysis-like realism".

Sometimes the realism just really gets to me and that change to a different type really helps.

Variety is gooood. Just seeing something different attracts people to it.

i like cartoon graphics as it seems to make it slightly more fun looking, and thats what games are for, fun. im not saying you can have fun with crysis like graphics, but it seems like you can mess about a bit more with cartoon graphics

I find that sometimes a game ends up getting sold on the basis of its graphics rather than its gameplay, and older games with poor graphics can often be just as much fun. I've just started playing the original half life, and although the graphics are pretty poor, I'm having a good time simply because the gameplay is so good. Hopefully in this case EA/Dice will be able to spend more time on making the game fun than on individually rendering every thread on the soldiers' uniforms.

older games are still the best ones when it comes to the word "fun", how many fps games out there make you laugh for as long as duke nukem 3d did, how many adventure games out there give us as much fun as the classic Lucas Arts games? there are almost no new adventure games actually wich is sad but well...

have to admit it does, though this game reminds me of tonic trouble and ray man.
