people always tellin me to bail out?wtf

why is it a lot of times, ill jump in a heli with someone and they keep tellin me to bail out?then if i dont, they eitehr kill us both,or like go to the end of the map and sit there till i die or whatever.one guy kept tellinme and i was like why??he says: "I dont fly with noobs" LOLOL i mean do people take this game that serious or what?why wouldnt u want a gunner with you, gives you more chance of gettin kills and gettin assist points right?i mean,i only been playin for a few weeks,im already really close to gettin sergeant ranking,so i dont think im that much of a noob.sorry but i just wanted to vent a lil bit and just try to understand why people do that.

Some of us are already better than any two people you could combine in a heli, the exceptions being too statistically insignificant to consider at this point in time.

What that means is, some people play at a higher level and can't stand pilots who don't know what to prioritize on, let alone know offensive and defensive techniques... and gunners who either don't fire missiles or miss practically every important shot.

I'm not knocking you at all here... just offering another perspective on why some people may have preferred to fly alone or with someone else.

I prefer not to fly with anyone. Every time I have a gunner, he gives away our position by firing the machine gun at choppers. That or he steals my kills on apcs and boats. I'd rather just fly by myself, ninja style.

gunners and pilots really need to be able to work well, quickly and efficently together other wise BOOM!.

this is another case of "put you in their shoes" (Like Sloi touched on)

The best gunner + pilot combo are clan members.

for me its when im gunning with a person. im 100% aginst single pilots. but if they have allready a 2 man gunner pilot combo dont get in, and let them get in. all your doing is causing trouble.

yeah i dont get why some people are soo serious...if they are "soo damn good" then im sure they should be able to cope with a noob on the machine gun (not saying ur a noob just generalizing)..... a tip for "those" people... next time ur in a chopper and someone hops in the front...dont be a sook and tell them to get out..just remember noobs need to learn aswell as u did..

sorry if that seems harsh but i really cant stand people like that.. dont run people down and boss them around because they may be new to the game or a bit slower to pick it up... its a game! remember that :)

No (undeserved) offense, but this comment clearly demonstrates your lack of skill and experience in an attack helicopter.

Tell me... what am I, as a pilot, supposed to do against a competent soloer or heli team when my gunner doesn't fire TV missiles or simply misses every shot? I can't f*cking dodge them all day.

Tell me... what am I, as a gunner, supposed to do against a competent soloer or heli team when my pilot doesn't line me up for shots or fails to dodge the incoming threats? I can't fire sh*t if he doesn't give me a shot.

You should watch a few helicopter videos and actually sit in one for at least 50 hours worth before coming in these threads, talking about things you clearly shouldn't.

If one person isn't doing his job in the heli, both suffer as a result. I'm not even getting into how bad this is for the team as a whole. A jet can be very useful, but only a heli can stay in your face and constantly prevent you from capping a flag.

Guess what happens when Noobie McNub decides to (unknowingly) hinder his team...

I smell another solo vs 2 players in heli battle

                XxKraziE.BonExX, here is a suggestion

Learn basic heli skills OFFLINE, familiarize yourself with shooting TV missiles and gunning, adjust your mouse sensivity etc. It won't take a long time but do it! Learn to spot targets and watch your minimap, listen to when a voice says "Enemy xxx spotted"

Even if if I dont take this game seriously, it really gets on my nerves when my pilot/gunner does what Sloi described. Over and over again, 10+ times in a row without any reasonable changes.

Hell, even animals learn faster from their mistakes :)

lmao..why was my last post deleted?

well like i said in my last post incase u missed it..... and as i also said in my first post incase u missed it... is u have to account for people who arnt as good as u seem to think u are.. ur not the only person playing the game and unfortunately for you not everyone is a superstar player... so just have SOME courtesy and let them learn...

P.S. i dont see why my post was deleted as it was no where near as insulting as some (see above quote)... i was just being honest

Well, I don't expect my pilot to be PRO or anything. I just want him to point me at targets when I (or team) spot them and not ignore them completely. It's really not that hard

The problem is, no one gets given a chance. Its: "out noobz I wants to fly" without even letting the guy have a chance... Its a shame, that people aren´t as forgiving, with the really quick chopper respawn time, what does it matter? There is no one to fly with, and they are all crap, because they won´t get the chance to improve.... You need a good gunner/pilot with you to advise and help, but if no one lets you....

I agree that many play exclusively on a casual level. Unfortunately for them, sacrifices have to be made in regards to what they can and cannot do if they truly care about their team's chances of winning: one of those is abstaining from air vehicle combat when more competent players are around. I'm not asking them to write helis and jets off, but rather to gracefully accept that others are better suited to the job. If no one's around to take them, knock yourself out.

Additionally, learning should be done Offline. That's how I and many others did, I don't see how you guys are any exception to this rule... unless you're prodigious in acquiring and applying newly learned skills. Odds are you're like everybody else and need a lot of training, so don't punish others in the process... play offline and when you've learned to PAY ATTENTION TO THE MAP, PRIORITIZE PROPERLY, FIRE TVs and actually HIT THINGS WITH THEM, then come online.

You want us to respect your right to hop in a jet/heli, which is ironic because you're completely disrespecting your team in the process. I'm not asking you to stay out of the air vehicles... I just want you to actually know what you're doing before getting into them. In the case that you're not experienced enough, I want you to earn your place in it by practicing away from others. Is that so much to ask?

No I dont agree with the give them a chance anymore...I run a popular server and have come across literally thousands of dudes+dudets...I have on occasion been like "ok, ill give this guy a chance..." moments later I am confused as to why hes gunning a tank or not using his missle...This has happened way too often and has forever spoiled my view of the random nooble...Which is why I will just fly by myself or pick up someone I know...OH and utter lack of voip as well...I cant believe how many people still dont use voip in bf2...Its mind bottling...

That's a remarkably sensible post, Illuzion. If you keep this up, I might just have to change my mind about you...

If you need advice then seek it, but do not expect to be allowed to waste a round, a chopper and a win because you want to learn. It might have been accepted a year ago, but nowadays so many more are so much better, therefore a team needs every skill it can get. If you can't TV-missile then the most reasonable thing is to let go of the chopper to people who actually can solo, like me, sloi, and loads of others here on the forums.
