change"you killed" to "you owned"

could anyone help, i would just like to know how n where to do this, thanx for any help

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Localization\English\

Open the English utxt file with Notepad,
Search for killscore and you will find the line below

HUD_CHAT_YOUGOTAKILLSCORE §3You killed §3§c1001#PLAYERNAME#§c1001 §3(§C1001+2§C1001 bonus)

You can change that " You Killed " to " You Owned ",

the §3 ive around mine increase's the size of the kill message, easier to read on a big monitor, you can remove them if you dont want to use them.

yeah that didnt work for me...atleast not in single player

No, singleplayer doesn't change it for me, but I've confirmed the change in multiplayer.
