rite i wanna put something on the internet thats off my tv if u know wat i mean.

wat du i have to du.
du i need a recordable dvd player?

You need a DVD recorder, you should be able to work out the rest.

I've got a system in which I connect my satellite/freeview box to the computer with a SCART cable. Then I use a program called VAIO Zone (It comes free with most sony computers) to record the channel. This creates the movie files which you could probably compress and upload to the interwebz.

I'm not sure about the availability of VAIO Zone to non-sony computers but I'm sure there's an alternative package.
