BUT, if you want to be sure of a heli getting taken down, you cant rely on the RGPs. What are you going to do when you miss? And you WILL miss at least one of the two shots.

Yes, some people get both shots on it, but not every time.

Just my advise if you want reliability. RPGs do a great deal of damage on them as well.

    Crunch

They also own face in pipeline tunnels.

But for taking out helis, ya double tap. And don't use double tap on the M60, it jumps ALL OVER and the spray is ridiculous. The RPD and SAW are way better
Well a quicker reload time normally leads to longer survivability overall, but Double Tap works great too.

Any mounted machine gun makes pretty short work of a helicopter. Best bet is to try and get to one of those.

As for the Hind the Hind-D has a chin mounted turret with 12.7mm rotary cannon

The Hind D fuselage features nose modification with tandem bubble canopies, and a chin-mounted turret. Mi24D (Hind-D) is significantly re-designed version of the Mi-24A. It entered service in 1976. A re-modelled two-seated cockpit has a tandem seating with the gunner/pilot sitting in front, the pilot/commander in the rear seat which is raised. The cockpit has characteristic bulging canopies. An undernose turret contains a four-barrel 12.7 mm 9A624 machine gun with up to 1470 rounds. Optional weaponry is mounted on four underwing pylons. It can consist of 4 UB-32 pods (with 32 57 mm S-5 rockets each), 4 x 100 or 250 kg bombs, or 2 x 500 kg bombs, or the same number of napalm dispensers. An air-to-surface launching system for four 122 mm rockets can also be used. On wingtips there are tube-launchers for two pairs of 9M17P anti-tank missiles (Falanga system).

Other variants are available with the Twin 30mm fixed cannon on the lower right hand side of the cockpit.

Yup, I know. Please explain what these are then? On the lower right hand side of the cockpit, mounted in tandem, with flashhiders? They look like HIND F 30mm cannons to me.....

They are the reason I called Hind F.

Scuse the bad pic, I do't have FRAPS or anything, and I was busy getting strafed by a HIND with it's cannons pointing into the sky.....

KBK, you can see the rotating cannon under the , pointing into the ground. Its a little hard to see, but its there. Next time you get killed by a chopper, try checking its nose, it has a pretty peculiar rotary cannon, with god knows what rotating along with the barrels (as if the whole cannon complex was rotating).

The Hind is definitely not shooting with the fixed cannons. Unless we run different games.

That image doesn't show anything (not clear enough).

But the in-game Hind is the Hind-D varient, a controlable cannon has to be the 12.7mm machinegun.

Not clear enough? You need glasses.

                              Fine. I'll get a better one. And it isn't a HIND D. It's a mish mash from the HIND D and F.

                              KBK

It definately has the twin fixed cannons. But I will admit it also has the steerable 12.7mm gun. So it isn't a HIND F. But nor is it a HIND D.

                              Bloody game makers.

I'd actually enjoy a fixed cannon as portrayed above...

I hate being killed from behind the chopper
