It's really best to use VOIP in these situations because most people have their mini-maps zoomed in and therefore won't see the guys you're spotting on the back flags. I'll usually say something like "Attention squad leaders - squad of X swimming across to Cement Factory, please spawn back to defend."

You'd be surprised how fast a jet can get to an otherwise secluded area for a carpet bombing, after you've spotted a tank hiding in the bushes three or four times.

thats a good idea. only problem i can think of is that not everyone has VOIP enabled.

Im not talking about maps with jets or chopters here If your team has aircraft in the air, then for the love of god, spot away

does my head in that. many times ive given up cos im sick of hearing it then i watch as my team gets wasted cos they are too busy trying to get into the same plane and then im thinking go go enemy tank lol

I spot everything I can see when I play and I get frustrated when other's don't do the same, but the difference for me is that I actually engage the targets I spot, or if I can't, then I hope that someone else can because I spotted them.

I understand and agree with the OP that constantly spotting and not doing anything about it is annoying, but I guess in the end, I would much rather actually have people constantly spot things than not at all, even if they are spamming the team chat.

People usually spot when theres something there, and even if its only "enemy spotted" or "hostile force" if I'm near it I'll always check it out. Better to be safe than sorry.

That is, unless you happen to be playing with TGN off topic >: P
