Enemy target spotted..Enemy target spotted....Enemy target spotted..

why do people constantly spot targets?? like in nearly every map i play on theres always just one person who constantly does it.. like spot the enemy once IF u cant take them out urself and move on!
Alot of the time i have to play the game listening to Enemy Target Spotted over and over and over and over and over.. and its not like theres a pause between each time they spot a target its just constant..is there a way to mute a single person or do i just have to stop my crying and deal with it?:dead:

P.S. am i the only person that gets annoyed by this?

When I am commanding I use the mike and say to the team look out someone on a hill for emxaple or that a tank is on its way. If people are not in a team I tend to spot a few but not go overboard with it.

Yesterday spotted this person now try and get him name (Fuenfzehn) see he never dies!!

That person is the commander, spotting targets is a big help as it let's you know precisely where the enemy is, and even which direction they are facing

It doesn't annoy me personally, although it would if it never directly affected me, but the commander generally spots all over the map.

I always do that (not as commander) when I see a plane/heli or vehicles and troops that are too far away from me. It is a big help to the team.

I'd rather people constantly spot targets than keep me (and everyone else) in the dark. As a chopper pilot/gunner/soloer, I WANT THAT INFORMATION. I filter out everything except Chopper, APC, Tank and Mobile AA spottings anyway, so keep spamming those spots man, they're useful.

Some commanders dont really realise that spotting ppl where no friendlies are around is completely useless and annoying

not all the time, sometimes the non-fighting commander is trying to point out that an enemy unit is attempting to sneak past the action and start capturing basis without any resistance, while everyone is busy, by capturing bases that are far away from they action, hopefully someone would pick up on the commander spot and hurry to try and put an end to it.

well thats what i do sometimes, so thats how i justify it.

No really, if you spot a few targets then your jet or maybe heli might take it out. Safer target than flags with friendlies around
