Hints and Tips?

And only recently did I feel the effects and damages that certain guns use. Some never seem to hit no matter how accurate or close I am, and some seem to kill in an instant. MP5 and P90 seem to be the best SMGs I am with currently, which ironically is the same with COD4. :laugh:

The MP5 & P90 seem to be good guns in any FPS with them inside. My guess is that the MP5 has a reputation of being a reliable, accurate SMG, & the P90's reputation of.....well, being able to spray walls of lead.

My best SMG when I started was actually the .45 calibur one (UMP? The 3rd on on buy list)

I remember watching this video that "explains CS to noobs" (it was a satire/parody actually), and the AWP was described as "A gun that, judging from it's damage power, seems to shoot supersonic flaming anthrax-coated tanks shells." (While showing a headshot with an AWP that sends a guy flying across fy_kingofthehill) I was laughing for about 2 minutes.

Did during a GunGame, as most of the nearby servers tend to disable Sniper.

Being a oneshot kill anywhere, it reminds me too much of the Barret .50 on COD4. :p

I actually have a barret skin for my AWP.

I agree, they are similar, but the AWP is more unbalanced compared to other weapons imo. Then again, the other alternative is the scout, which sucks, or the auto-snipe, which is "noobish" (at least people whine about it, I think you get what you pay for, given the price).

What about BF2?

Tips: Jump in a deathmatch server, select an M4 or P90, and play.

Why, did they suck that bad in it? :laugh:

Anyway, I again recommend the (comparably) excellent zombie mod for CS.

Especially the ones with unlimited ammo, those are great fun.

Both take 6-8 shots to kill someone, compared to 3-4 for the AKs..so yeah, pretty awful :)

can you imagine someone in real life jumping from around a cornder, scoping mid air and shooting someone with an awp lol would probably break a few bones

AK47 is the win though, first shot is so accurate and if you get it on their head they dont stand a chance

Well when you compare SMG's to rifles, yeah the rifles are gonna be more accurate, hands down.

But imho the MP5 is the most accurate SMG, if I could see the deviation tables they'd probably show that as well (except maybe the UMP).

THe P90 is much less accurate then the MP5 from my experience, but not as bad as the TMP or epecially the MAC10. It does have a higher rate of fire though (along with that 50 round clip :nod:), and is relatively accurate on full auto compared to the others, though one SMG is more accurate even on full auto.....the MP5.

Also, for someone new, I think most would agree the M4 is easier to pick up then the AK. The M4 has (this is all from experiance though) 2-3 accurate shots and a very predictable spray pattern for 3, maybe 4 shots after that (grouped at the top of the crosshair). Comparatively, the AK has 1 really accurate shot (it is probably more accurate then the M4's first shot), 2 semi-predictable shots after that, and then you might as well give up hitting anything past 15 meters on that burst.

But the AK does do more dmg, and is probably the better weapon for an expert, or someone who almost exclusively single-shots with their rifle. (I suck with it though :p)

Long post, I know, but I'm bored and just played CS. (Was just on some sorta new type of zombie server, headshots are 1-hit kills, but there's no gun knockback.....makes for really tense fights.)

But I agree, in CS:S the P90 and the MP5 are good weapons, those along with the M4 are probably the best guns for beginners.

They weren't THAT bad, just a faster firing and shorter ranged version of the ARs. :p

I guess they had to nerf something since engi's got the glory that is Pilum.
