On the PC, we can freely change our name whenever we want to without hacking the game.

      You mean do:

      ^1Aerialz

(substitute "1" with a different number for a different color)
Making my name red... if that's what you mean, yes.

If that's not what you mean, then I'm not sure.

**And from what Spik3d say, it isn't "hacking" - you can even make binds with colors by use of the console.

Use ^1, ^2, ^3, etc. to have change the the colour of text in your name.

You can either do this through the console for longer names by typing \name... (e.g. \name ^1FIBUA^3=^1R^8epulse), or by going to Options>Multiplayer Options.Nickname>... .

He's got "hex" in his post, but "h4x" in his title. That may have been it.

(yet another reason that "leetspeek" shouldn't be used, unless someone is purposely joking)

I was agreeing with you, I wasn't sure if he said hack or not - I just responded in agreement to your post.

              I'm confused now

I think he means that you can have the R2 button of the PS3 in your nametag in the PS3 version of CoD4.

the color in your name does not show up in-game when you kill someone. the color only shows in kill-cam. not on scoreboard or in killmessages either. not worth it anymore. i had a sweet colorful name in COD 1 and 2.
