Whenever I find good players that use VOIP and work as a squad I jot their player name down and add it to my BF2tracker buddylist. When I'm ready to play, I check the buddylist to find who's on which server and I'm set. No need leaving it up to chance.

As for a squad sticking together, if you're a squad member, ALWAYS spawn on the green dot unless told otherwise. If you SL is dead, wait for them to respawn. That way you're always together.

EDIT: dont warn me for telling everyone they should get PR, from the sounds of it, this guy likes tactical games and such, and should thus download PR.

i have pr v7 and i played it, got in a full squad, voip but it didnt feel the same, its more frustratin in PR to use tactical movements in PR, but on vanilla its just plane fun, and thats how i like it

btw the server was [22nd] UK ranked, plays most maps i thing, very good server, awesome admins, got two of them on my xfire list,

but i do remeber a good voip inicdent on PR like version 5 or 6, al basrah

i was acting like the control tower, giving take of and landign clearances, rearms and repairs the to two A10s, that was fun

playing a public game and using to much tactical movement can over complicate things, i try and keep it simple and just stick together seems to work. i do basic things like get my M249 to lay suppressive fire but not try things like fireteams with public players
