MP5 vs. AK-74u

IMO they are very similar in game because they represent blue team (MP5) vs. red team (AK74u) and are balanced for game play. Did that make sense?

There are some differences in the relative "power" of certain characteristics of each weapon, but they are still very balanced against each other: Axis vs. Allies ...?

MP5's sights don't sway. AK-74u's do. A pithy difference, but one nontheless. It helps me when plinking at range.

The MP5 has much less "Actual" recoil.

The MP5 is vastly superior deviation wise with a silencer on to an AK-74U with a silencer.

The AK-74U has less "Visual" recoil.

The AK-74U has better penetration.

The AK-74U has a slightly longer zoom range.

The MP5 is a better run-n-gun gun.

The AK-74U is a better walling gun.

Damn you beat me to it. The MP5 stays still, and the AK-74u moves like the AK-47...bugs the hell out of me.

I always choose the AK74u, i adore this gun.

Used with stopping power it downs enemies much quicker than any other SMG in my opinion, and its my anti-P90 weapon of choice.

I enjoy alot of success with this gun, it takes a little while to learn but i would definitely recommend it.

I would choose the AK 74u especially with Double Tap. Technically the gun is (obviously) a shorter version of the AKS 74 called the Krinkov. Therefore its in the same Compact Assault rifle class as the G-36c. Why IW put it as an smg beats me..

yea most games it counted as a carbine ( like a m4 n crap ) or a assault rifle ( ak n crap )

To ME, the 74u is an assault gun and I use it as such. The recoil is higher and it has a lot of power.

The MP5 is a true submachine gun. Accurate, low recoil, good sights.

I use the 74u for assaulting and MP5 for those times when you want to kill with feeling

I feel like the ak47 takes less rounds to kill.With double tap it doesnt sway every which way with a red dot it just goes up so its very easy to control.

the mp5 just feels better but i find the AK74su's penetration makes it alot better for shooting people behind cover, especially with deep impact on.

I just like the MP5 more...I guess it's because that was the first gun I got to use in this game, and I love the icon-ness (??) of it. I just never really heard of the AK-74u much until here.

MP5, well...i can own with it basically, on average i go 15-3 in the first few minutes starting, ONLY MP5, i like it alot, but make sure you got good perks for it so you can get the most out of it, and red dot sight
