add that command to your /my docs/bf2 profile audio.con and make the file 'read only', and you wont have to enter that command every time you play.

wow, i need to know how you guy get 100 fps. i even ran all the settings on low and still only get 40-50 fps.

The AMD 3500+ is an old and pretty slow CPU

The 2600xt, whilst relatively new, is pants, and only worth buying for media playback, definitely not games!

i am upgrading to a amd 6400+ and 4gb memory. will this add more fps to my game? even if i keep the same video card?

The 6400+ will do a bit, but in my opinion, you should save a bit more and buy a Intel Core 2 Duo and motherboard for it. Those are the best chips around at the moment. They are faster on stock than AMD, and overclock like mad if your into that.

4gb RAM isn't necessary unless your playing top end games like Crysis or CoD4, and even then it's overkill, 3gb would do.

For simply BF2, 2gb will do and look into buying a Radeon 3850, or if that's too much, a Radeon X1950
