Then you might have not found a proper hiding place. :pOriginally posted by TheDesert_FoxWhat if a second comes by while you're reloading?
I just love the "always on" feel of the M1014 with Sleight of Hand.
Of course, once you feel that you have enough shells to last you for your next journey, you can always cancel the reload by left clicking.Comment

martyrdom
martyrdom is the most important thing on a shotgun kit, it enables you to kill the person that killed you since 90% of the time that will happen in close quaters due to the nature of the kit.Comment

My rule for the shotties: Double Tap for the M1200 and Sleight of Hand for the M1014.
I have changed to use Juggernaut and Extreme Conditioning with the M1014 after becoming proficient with it as I get in real close by flanking. It's been very, very fun. (insert evil laugh here)
I've beeen a shottie user in BF2 (Engie-enthusiast) & BF2142 (Clark-er), so I know engagement ranges and how to manage my ammo. Once you get that down, the M1014 will allow you to tear through a crowded server.Comment

I can't remember the last time I used Martyrdom since I attempted to get those Marty challenges.
Martyrdom is effective for a Shotgun Kit, but I prefer Steady Aim or Extreme Conditioning.
If only the lag wouldn't cancel my sprint, then I'd use Extreme Conditioning much more.Comment

i noticed that damage at range is not as generous with the Clark shotgun in BF. in COD, it seems even a small distance will not give you a hit indicator when you are sure that at least a piece of your shot should have hit the enemy. i wish the hits would register at a distance, even if it is very minimal like it does with the Clark in BF.Originally posted by SonicPixelI've beeen a shottie user in BF2 (Engie-enthusiast) & BF2142 (Clark-er), so I know engagement ranges and how to manage my ammo. True, true. There was a old post when the game first came out where RangerXML was commenting on this. Yeah, it appears that the shotties have been nerfed a little in CoD4 to preserve their CQC speciality and make them less of an all-around weapon.i noticed that damage at range is not as generous with the Clark shotgun in BF. in COD, it seems even a small distance will not give you a hit indicator when you are sure that at least a piece of your shot should have hit the enemy. i wish the hits would register at a distance, even if it is very minimal like it does with the Clark in BF.
That's not realistic, but it makes for good game play. Otherwise, the shotguns would be overused in the very small maps the game ships with.Comment
