only for stats? do you even enjoy the game? I play the game for fun and enjoy the stats along the way. That's the problem with gamers these days. Games are no longer played for fun

I have fun by playing for stats I have collected most of the awards, and get a real kick out of doing it. If it weren't for stats, this game would classify (in my book) as repetitive and boring. Going for that next ribbon, that new rank, a better spot on the leaderboard... Its what I do :)

I am a goal oriented person, I have to set myself something to go at and then go for it... Without setting a goal, I just sorta wander around wondering whats next. It might not be your thing, but thats how my brain operates :nod:

Stats are a weird thing and they mean different things to different people, so to each his own.
For me, I never played for the stats themselves, but the awards and such were a nice bump for me, especially in BF2 when that was new to me. I like it for for the info aspect. When I played Star Wars Battlefront back in the day (before there were only 10 servers running it and less than half were filled with with cheaters and hackers ) there were no stats, no awards, no squads, nothing. You just played for the fun of it. BUT, after about a year, I started thinking "It'd be nice if the game could somehow keep track of how long I played each faction, which weapons I used most, how many AT-ATs I took down, how many times I lost on Hoth or won on Bespin.....etc" Then came BF2 and presto, there it was.
So...I guess that's what I comes down to. Could care less about your stats? Don't play for them. Need some personal goals and objectives to accomplish? Stats and awards are the perfect way.
As long as you're having fun.
