Barret + ACOG = Lose? :'(

So I played 2 rounds with the barret and unlocked the ACOG and digital camo. I was floored with how many kills I could get with that baby. I used bandolier with it and I was a machine. I had used the R700 with some success before but nothing like this. The first round I went 12-0 before I got killed. So naturally when I got my ACOG I was stoked and took out iron lungs and used stopping power. The next map came up and I expected a total massacre....instead I went 2-14 before I finally switched kits.

Does anyone else have trouble hitting ANYTHING with that %$&* ACOG scope on the barret?? I finally took it off and went back to the original scope and I am doing well again. With the ACOG I get WRECKED by other snipers. It all that's sticking out is their head I can't hit squat!! If I am firing at medium range sure I can hit people but at that point I get more kills with my AK because it fires faster and everyone isn't gunning specifically for me.

I searched the forums and it seems like a few of you can't say enough about how good he combo is but for me that ^ can be RIGHT ON THE PERSON and I get NOTHING! It's like freakin magic when it hits because I don't even know how I did it! Also, even with DI and SP it seems like I get more kills through boarded up windows and such with any of the assault rifles than with the ACOD and barret. Am I completely missing some part of the strat?

I don't like the ACOG on sniper rifles either, would like to see some strategics for how to use it properly since I almost always fail miserably with it (just as you)

ACOG is supposed to make it easier to kill someone on medium ranges, and it does fairly fine - I am convinced that I can do so much better with the ordinary scope though.

R700 + Acog on Bog is a great combination.

It works on some maps but not others.

Dragunov with ACOG is the only sniper rifle I can stand with an ACOG.

I tried them all with ACOG, and the Barret was the only one I got any kills with. But I would just go normal sniping if you use a sniper rifle.

50cal whit acog looks so ugly you see a f big gun whit a f small scope it just dont go together

I had problems with the ACOG and the .50 as well. I finally took it off and havent gone back. Never tried the acog with anything else, though I have seen some use the Dragonov with it and do VERY well.

Once you get the Red Dot Scope add-on to your weapons, use it over the ACOG scope. The red dot will not enhance or take away anything and provides a better aim point on most weapons. The ACOG scope will actually add more range to your weapon, but take away accuracy which accomplishes almost nothing, especially for snipers because it takes away range and adds nothing.

No RDS for sniper rifles though. Thats a pretty true statement otherwise.

The ACOG gives your bullets distance power automatically, but for sniper rifles, it wont matter. The thing you get with ACOG on a sniper rifle is less sway and no need to hold your breathe.

The Acog is pointless. They should replace it with the ability to have RDS/Silencer together, or a combination of Silencer, RDS and Grenade Launcher.

Yes, I'm serious. Get rid of the ACOG or fix the sway/lack of precision.

I only tried it on a couple weapons, and gave up on it pretty quickly as the extra zoom didn't make up for the decreased accuracy through the sway.

Has anyone tested, maybe recorded video, of the ACOG on all weapons?...I thought I remembered someone posting that on some weapons, the ACOG didn't have very much sway, but on others, it was severe. If this is true, then there could be just a few specific weapons where it would be effective.

This is true, I haven't tested them all but the G36C has much less ACOG sway than most of the assault rifles at least.

And I don't see the point of ACOG on sniper rifles either. Completely worthless unlock IMO.

G36C owns with ACOG (very little sway) but I can't really see it being more effective on other rifles.

I'd like to see a silencer/RDS combo :)

I put the ACOG on my Barret for Hardcore long range shooting, because I don't have the time to hold by breath to prevent the sway. :p

I find it works well combined with UAV Jam and Dead Silence.
