Need Help Suggestions! BF2 Constant Lag

My computer is almost a year old and I do constant updates on my drivers. I have also dusted out the dirt & dust from the inside of my tower and I got a bit of good results but, the lag will NOT stop from whatever I do. Can someone help me out on stopping this annoying lag? I turn off norton b4 i log on to play bf2 and that doesn't even resolve my issue. I have contacted EA Support and got no support from them at all. I have all my cached folder froms bf2 deleted and NOTHING!!

Someone please help me out here. I do need a better graph card but dont know what to exactly get if my issues dont resolve? I have spoken with HP themselves and they told me that i would have to get a brand new graph card which is the ATI: radeon (forgot which one but will remember it if i see it.) I dont know what else to do here. I have everything on check.

    My Specs-
    Windows Vista Home Premium
    896 MB RAM
    Nvidia GeForce6150Le
    250Gb hard drive
3800+AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual Core Processor

It does sound as though your graphics card will struggle but also I think you'll need some extra ram especially as you're running Vista (me too). Have you tried the compatibility check at Systemrequirements lab ?
Check your system requirements. Can I Run it? Test your specs and rate your gamimg PC.

You need another gig of ram and a real video card.

Well they don't know what they're talking about. It's a ram an GFX card issue. I suggest getting 2 gigs of ram and at least a 7 series GFX card or and 8 series if ya got the cash.

well first off in general norton isnt the way to go for antivirus, slows your comp down, and second of all you probably need atleast 2 gigs of ram for vista, also what is your ISP?

well, to be honest, when i play singleplayer everything works fine with NO LAG. The min i hop on a internet connection, i get so much lag that the min i spawn, i die 3 mins later and it is unbearable to play at all. My computer is nearly a yr old and have NOT used my graph card or game for it to even get outdated or anything like that. Im actually thinking about changing my ISP cause they suck balls. the supposed HP technician told me that i dont need ram. i really dont. my rams not the issue. Ive cleaned all the dust out with dust off and nothing works.

that www.bf2lag.com site is kind of outta my league. (dont want to ruin my computer) I dont even run wackbuster cause i know that that, will make the situation waaay worst.

Heres another question? I do have some tiny little sckratches on the cd....could that be it????? do i have to buy a new bf2???????

the hp tech is a dope u need a gig of ram just to run vista (SLOW).Also u have an onboard video card, buy a video card install it,buy ram, and the game will work.

I suggest you try hello kitty that might be in your league

Singleplayer works well because it does not stress your system (unless you do a 256-bot mod :) ) like multiplayer does. You will need to play at bare minimum resolution and graphics to get decent performance. Any video card that is PCI-e will fit, it doesn't have to be ATI.

Here are some good deals that will help immensely.

Im suprised you can run Vista without lag with 896 MB of ram. You can find some ram cheap now days, and playing BF2 with an an integrated video card is no doubt the biggest issue here.

                        WoHOO!

I can play just fine now. I get a little bit of lag but it goes away and comes back. but, i can manage it. its not to the point of where i cant play.

                        thanks for the heads up.

I will get an updated graph card but do not know how to install it. (even though it says/has instructions on it, prolly) I still wont be able to do it. dont wanna fugg up my comp. but what is the MOST SUGGESTED?

vdo card or 2 gigs of ram? When i play, things are fine for a few mins, goes awway and comes back till the point where i cant get kills or anything. "BF2" is becoming very annoying with its lag problems. COD4 came out n i hear no issues from that game with constant lag. Whats this whole deal with SP1 coming out soon on vista?
Vista sucks if u ask me.

heres that "can you run it" link you gave me with the results.

This has been an issue with EA or Dice or whomever for a LOOOONG time....they need a HUUUUUGE fix. none of those tweaks work. My ISP is Time Warner Cable and their service with networking sucks i guess and might have to go with SBC or somethin. GOD SOMEONE HELP!
