Don't mean to be a d*ck, but... a real life movie of Call of Duty 4 is one of the gayest ideas a person can think... why not just make a movie about the SAS in general? Or the Marines, etc? Why CoD4, which already has a great playable story with a conclusion and beginning (so no prequel or sequel either!). Let's make a movie about BF2 in an MEC vs USA match. Oh wait, the real war in Iraq...

IMO, in the majority of cases, movies based on video games turn out to be absolutely horrible. Plot-lines in games are either too thin, which requires a lot of patchwork fill-in-the-blanks for a film...or the plots/characters in the games are way too complex and cheesy for a decent movie.

Hollywood should take a pass on these scripts (or lack thereof) most of the time. Leave movies to movies, and games to games.

I think it would be a descent movie. The plot would have alot of add-ins. But I think it would be pretty good idea.(not being sarcatic) It would take quite a bit of work and production is all. The Pripyat scene would be awesome if they really shot that scene there. Could be awesome, but lot of money and alot of add-ins. The movie would probably turn out very different than the actual game ending. IMO.

I loved the campaign, it was absolutely amazing, but it would not be a good movie.

Movies made from games just dont seem to do well at all.
