In a completely unrelated story, in the same server, a 4-star name Kia1 came in talking about how I was banned from his server b/c of my hacks and he has SS's to prove it and already turned them into EA. I laughed and shrugged it off. He continues to talk to the server admins trying to get me kicked, but they wouldn't b/c I play there all the time. He has R|A admins convinced he works for EA b/c he is a 4-star and he has 'admin' powers. He begins to 'hack' the server and kick me over and over w/ messages like "BYE B*TCH" or supposedly ban me w/ a message like "Banning for TKing." He even kicked their admins. We all come back in and the admins are baffled as to what happened. And during this time there was a commander hack for supplies, which I'm 90% sure he was doing as well. He said he can ban my CD key and typed in the command line like " Ban C:/BF2/mod/(my acct #) " but that didn't do anything.
Anyways, sorry for the long post. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up to watch out for this guy.

As for how he was able to kick someone, my only guess would be that he somehow guessed someone's admin password to BF2CC. EA staff do not have that level of control over individual servers. While they can delink your server from the ranking program or contact your GSP to have the server shut down, they cannot directly gain admin access. The other possibility is that he knows about an undiscovered security flaw in BF2CC, but I highly doubt that. I've had arguments with those types of idiots back from the good ol' BFROE days. Sometimes you just have to let them think they have power, and then call their bluff on it.
That distinctly reminds me of this one guy who was trying to call himself a BFROE officer and threatening to get this one server shut down because the admins were warning him for not following the rules. I disconnect, put on my registered tags, get back in the server then call him out on it. He then proceeds to threaten me with a global hardware ban (yeah, right). Then he goes and checks the BFROE site and then comes back and starts apologizing like mad and begs me not to global ban him. Then of course, I do tell him that we have no authority to directly do anything since we were a third-party group, and it would need to be EA who actually did anything.
It gave us a good laugh at the time, heh. I love stealthing people who do stupid things like that; they usually have an involuntary bowel movement when something like that happens, and it's funny to see how they react.
