the it-33 is the most useless item when to knife people hear it from miles away and if their a squad leader with people they can even spot you from behind walls because of the noise so yeah medic wud be best.

IDS, if I'm baseraping I'll usually go Pulse meter though cause it's really handy against snipers. :p

Camo is the weird one to use with knifing. It'll either help you lots, or if used badly, screw you over. There's someone STILL trying to knife me after a month who uses camo all the time, and I can always hear him arriving - so it's amusing to me that I've knifed him well over 8 times now. Camo is simply too loud to use in a normal environment against tougher opponents, unless of course you can time it with say, an orbital strikes, in which case the sound is drowned out by the orb, and sneaking up next to somebody is a piece of cake.


Generally, I'll go as medic. If I go "knifing", then it'll be for one specific person, and I'll pinpoint where they are and take them from there, no need for any special stuff, just me and my knife.

I never use camo for my knife kills. I just use stealth and skill. But I ussualy play with assualt anyway...

I wouldn't use camo, stay away from it, with camo they can hear you coming if you decloak too close. Plus, there is a delay causing you to lose precious seconds when you switch to knife.

I can be stealthy as an engineer. It doesn't matter what I pick, tactics is what's important. If your target knows you are there, it's too late to knife or hope you are faster than they are.

buuuuuuuuuuuuut I've got around 95 of the top 100 and didn't :P and the best part of not using camo is, I've happily managed to get medals whilst on a "knife mission" as it were, for example when running after ryan6fr, as well as knifing him repeatedly I grabbed a nice gold on an infantry only server. Bonus

Must be someone else. I use a different tag in game. It doesn't matter what you use whether recon, eng, support, or medic if you don't have skill and use tactics to back it up. That's part of the fun.

Lately I've been using Assault for knifing just for a change, but I still prefer camo. Just turn it off a good distance from your target and you're good to go.

Mostly camo helps on Titan maps though as the maps are pretty spacious and if you use camo from afar you're virtually impossible to see .
