Anyway, ArmA ain`t as bad people make it out to be. I managed to play 6h or straight and have fun the whole time (mp). At times though I get raged in the first 2 minutes.
SP is boring as hell but the MP makes up for it when you`ve got loads of people.
Ofp was much better on the SP side. I hope ArmA2 or Ofp2 will be just as good.

ArmA can get boring, and very few popular servers, due to the lack of fun. Most of the time, you need to get with a clan or community, and play when they play. Mostly weekends, but the MOD community for ArmA and OFP are huge!!

BTW: ArmA2.. WOW.. where do they get this money, its not in sales.. oh thats right.. they gives us the crap game when the Army gets the fun one

I won´t try to convince anyone of how great PR is. But anyone who says that gameplay of PR compared to BF2 isn´t the biggest change out of all mods, and simply hugely different from vBF2 obviously hasn´t played PR.

Right now, 716 people are playing Project Reality online. Just like vanilla, it fluctuates every day from ~750 to 200. It has held a steady player base like this for about two years now. Anyone who calls Project Reality a failure at this point is a ****ing idiot.

If it doesn't match your style of play, then don't play it! Try some other mods or go back to vanilla BF2. Nobody's stopping you, and you didn't waste any money on it.

PR has the most awesome gamplay that you will never get in any other mod, teamplay and huge amounts of coordination and VoIP, i mean, who dosn't like to strike fear into the C2 Tank on basrah with the suicide car music.. parked right behind him, playing the music.. he knows your behind him and there is no escape... damn i should have fraps'd that lol

PR is great...the only thing that sucks about playing this mod is not being able to collect stats like you do whenever playing vanilla. Some people don't care about stats, but I like to track what kind of "performance" I have with different weapons, vehicles, maps, etc.

...also, PR is not just about capping flags, there's also insurgent mode where the objective is destroy/protect weapons caches. Right now there's only map where you play this mode, however there's some new maps in the works to offer more chances to play in this mode that are just fantastic.

Anyways, playing PR is not for everyone, you either like it, or you don't.

^^You can get stats for PR afaik... Download the ABR thinggy, some servers have it running
