Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
if you cant accept that fact then i suggest you rethink your argument because there is no difference you are still abusing the game engine by setting fire to mouse wheel
Jackal, did you miss the part where the developers said that they intentionally made it possible to bind fire to mousewheel? You can hardly call that "abusing the game engine"
ok fair enough but i bet they didnt realise people would use the ability to bind fire to the wheel to get better rof, i suspect they thought in the main it would just be a preference thing. like moving prone to 'z' etc.
I bet that, if you asked someone before COD4 came out if they would ever bind fire to scroll wheel, I suspect 99% of the answers would be 'hell no'
yes i agree the script is marginally easier but not by so much that it justifies wheeling to the extremes that some players take it to.
its times when stuff like this comes up that i wish developers would take a more console-ish approach and give set keys and that is it. no customisable layout. bar the various layouts they give you.

Well, the game is available for the consoles if that is what you want.
But most PC users would probably hate that approach.
i have come to my own conclusion in the fact that us discussing it isnt going to get us anywhere, at the end of the day you are going to use it or not until the devs say no.
Are you programatically adjusting the game parameters without using a dedicated game play mechanism? Then, you are cheating.
:salute:
Technically, macros don't permit you to accomplish anything a standard keyboard and mouse setup couldn't. Again, we're not talking about aimbots, wallhacks or any other programmed hack. There's a difference and I suggest you learn it.
QFT. Let's not be distracted by this other argument. Scrollwheel firing has a history in CoD games, does it not? Of course the devs knew of it.
The issue on hand is the use of a script to increase the rate of fire of weapons. I'm not sure how folks can justify it.

argh for the last time!!
scripts /= increase in the rate of fire beyond normal capabilities, they allow you to fire as fast as technically possible which is exactly what the wheel does.
THEY DONT magically raise the rof by hax0ring up the game code.
also fed up of pointing out the obvious, this thread needs a lock it achieves nothing

Sir, I do know the difference between scripts and hax. Thank you for caring so much for my education. However, you can keep your attitude. I don't want it.
IMO the key difference is that scripts are effectively 'short-cut' mechanisms not built into the game. Now, if the game comes with a scripting language and part of the game is about configuring those scripts, I'd be all for their use. If the script alters game play mechanism(s) beyond the scope of the intention(s) of the devs, it should not be used.
If you are using a script to perform an action for you, you are not playing the game on a level playing field with others but seeking an advantage. That, sir, is cheating in my understanding of it. If it is the same thing as using the scrollwheel, why not use the scrollwheel? That is YOU playing the game and not the script...
I can understand that you are frustrated at saying the same thing over-and-over again. The problem is, folks here have differing viewpoints on this. Just because you keep saying it, doesn't mean that we see it your way. It's okay, dude; No worries.
I'd wager that those who don't like it so much have played competitively before and have had to deal with things like this before. Conversely, I bet the folks saying that the use of scripts are most likely casual players who play for fun and not organized competition. But, that is just my paradigm...
But, as was mentioned by my friend above,
...at the end of the day you are going to use it or not until the devs say no...

Your own words, proving you either don't know the difference, or made a large typo. They simply make them fire at the max, but can't go over. It's no different than clicking fast. All a script is doing is giving input, the game mechanics act like normal...

Obviously those looking for every legal advantage they can don't care about winning, makes perfect sense.
