Have any of you 'cheat' accuesers actually read my posts?
The script to make it nice and clear, doesnt do anything that you can do in game, by using control. It doesnt put bullet and bullet, doesnt change the rof, has its disadvantages in combat ie selecting burst instead of full auto say on a smg or lmg in a cqc situ may get you killed, selecting burst on the g3, will disadvantage you at distance.
Basically this is very similer to giving you an added perk. Not keeping it a secret anyone can use it. Its not an aimbot, not a ESP device, not a wallhack, will not allow you to shoot round corners, and will definatelly not put any balance in your favour.
What it is though is basically a simpler mod, nothing more, nothing less.
I urge the drama queens on here, to test it, see if your scores dramatically increase, I bet they wont... but will they make 'some' of the guns a little more interesting, yes it will.
And as for the kind of people using this are gonna use Hax... different ball park my friends.
To reiterate once again and its came back to me the most likelly reason it was dropped from cod2....Cod2 Was basically a console game ported to PC... probably ran out of buttons, or the ability to change between semi and burst probably a bit too complex and unneccesary for the kiddies.
Please, try it out, and then comment - I ask the simple questions would having
M16 / g3 - semi auto and 3 round burst out the box be so bad? (I would not like to see either of these full auto - which incidentlly as I have stated can praticlly be done by the scrolling trick.
SMG's burst or full auto?
LMG's - burst or full auto.
What a lot of you guys are doing is a little thing called pre judging. (and not saying go out and try an aimbot or wallhack, as that is cheating)
This again is a simple mod.................FFS!!!!

I don't see it as an exploit: if people are going to use scrollwheels to simulate automatic or burst fire, I'll use an autohotkey executable. Tomato tomato. Was thinking that this initially would be a bit cheaty, but after giving it a go, its a fairly balanced affair, with trade offs - and really shouldnt have been dropped in CoD2.
If you would like to give it a go, you can find the script on codfiles and post ur opinions.
Footnote: I dont cheat at any games and positivelly detest it whn people do... perhaps you think this is an exploit, but in my humble its a function that should have been there from the start.
I recommend you make your own AHK script with a toggle function, in case you wish to use another kit. I would never have used the G3 otherwise, as singlefire has little to no business in a game where almost everyone runs around like friggin' retards, spraying at everything that moves.
Now the G3 is actually usable. Imagine that...
You can make your own autohotkey script. There are two easily modifiable examples in the helpfile to accomplish this goal. If you're remotely intelligent, you'll figure it out and have a working executable in 20 mins.
I'm in partial agreement with you. Until they effectively prevent people from using their scrollwheels or any other gaming alternative to simulate automatic fire for the G3, I will not shy away from using the script I've written for it. As you said, it's a question of balance: if others are doing it, I'll fight fire with fire (when I'm using that kit).Originally posted by =MNKY=FrostyAnyone else agree with me or am I just a lone ranger here?
If that makes sense to you...
As far as the MP5 is concerned, he's correct: how does offering the players the chance to use 1 and 3 shot options on the MP5 change the game balance? Think about it for a moment. We're not talking about adding power to a weapon, but rather offering the players two lesser options for the sake of choice... it's not like you can't stop after one or three shots anyway.
The G3 is a different story.Comment

Whatever.
Even if it you only see it as a minor "mod", it's still something that potentially could give you a huge advantage over other players.
I wouldn't go as far as saying using this script is illegal, but from my point of view it is most definitely unethical.
It has been said a lot of times, but again: BALANCE. The G3 has singleshot mode only for a reason and even though you're not making it completely full auto it most certainly gives you an advantage over other players on certain occasions.
And even though this script may not be the most evil way to "cheat" (in lack of better words), I think about the other much more devastating things people could potentially do. Making the pistols full auto as an example.
Hope you understand my point of view.Comment

Blah de blah blah

Loved the quote
And yes but then disadvantages the g3 in other situations - its a trade off.
I understand ur point of view, and thanx for the well reasoned reply

Here's what you said a few days ago:Originally posted by m3owBecause its not illegal, maybe in matches and CEVO and CAL, but for some pubbing, screw those n00bies
Your opinion is quite flexibleOriginally posted by m3owI play like a PRO and I am a PRO.
...
if there pro.. then they won't use a P90, because they know its banned in CEVO and other leagues.
I'll rearrange the letters so that it makes sense:
Pros don't use scripts.
About sums it up. Scripts are potential cheats and it's impossible to draw a line as to what is a cheat and what's not, so the only logical consequence if you wanna play fair is to not use any of them.Originally posted by HjodinIt all comes down to integrity and character.
After all you wouldn't use the scripts if they didn't give you some kind of advantage.Comment

I'll reiterate: until IW finds a way to prevent people from using mouse software, scrollwheels and other gaming devices to use singlefire weapons in burst or automatic mode, I won't shy away from using a script to even the odds.
Aimbots, wallhacks and other ESP cheats are another story entirely. It would be nice if people recognized this and kept them out of this discussion.Comment

LISTEN TEST RESULTS
tested online, normal servers:
1. Rate of fire is THE SAME if not slower then scroll wheel up down up
2. Buggy as hell since if you press fire 3 times on burst you cannot interupt fire
3. More RECOIL then scroll wheel method
4. NO AUTO for single shot guns, (only burst is available for single shot weapons)Comment

I know what you said, after all I quoted it.
In the other topic I quoted you from, you said that you were a Pro and that Pros will stick to the CEVO weapons (and perks), including pubs, to master them for matches.
Here you said that scripts may not be allowed in CEVO, but you still use it for pubs.
