    To be honest, I'm not 100% sure if I'm at 1280 x 1024, I might actually be at 1280 x 960, it's one of those though.

I noticed people talking about how they got 8xAA and what not on their desktop. So, is it better to leave AA off on the desktop and on in the game, better on at the desktop and off in the game, or both on for desktop and game or is there really no difference?

But if I go on, say Timeless, I get around 20ish FPS. So don't always think it's your setup. It might be the server doesn't have a good T1 connection or something else...
i think what matters the most is how crowded the server is. in a small server, i get pretty good frame rates, like 50. but i like to play the big servers with 50+ players and that takes a toll on my frame rates.

I have some AMD Dual Core Processor, an 8800GT and 3Gigs of RAM, and I get between 80-100 FPS on conquest, and anywhere from 40-80 FPS on Titan (even when titans are moving). Oh yeah, I am running XP. No idea what could be going on with your computer... I run all settings maxed out, 1280 x 1024 Resolution with AA@6x (can't get it up to 8 for some reason...)

Dunno if this has been asked, but have you installed the latest drivers for your GPU?

This is my settings and FPS as requested from previous post.

          AGP Ati X700pro (256mb)

Ok..I get 90fps when I host server for myself, to test stuff, game.

          On a lag server.
In a Titan map during play I get, 45 Fps.
When game is over (waiting), I get 60-70 fps.

Everything on Medium, except: max distance (100%), and AA at 2x.
          Will work on my image.

What does the second numbers represent?

How many people do you play with? And, I'm pretty sure I could get around 90 FPS on Conquest.

Well, the game only goes up to 4xAA and NO AF so if you want, say, 6xAA and 8xAF, you have to use the Nvidia Control Panel.

I always go into 64 player servers, and always full, and I really enjoy titans. Tonight was more lag than before, and keeps getting worse every day. During silo captures all is ok, but soon as the shields are down, lag starts to happen. Everyone is in the titans, running around with explosions all over the place. I really enjoy going into the titans, specially enemy. Trying to get the console badge. Got 2 already, but not sure if I get the other 2 will get the badge. Thinking you have to get all 4 in one round. Dunno where to see stats. My user name is VDog0695. Also is their a way in changing the user name? I worked hard to get what I have, and I would enjoy changing name.

wow then i'm pretty impressed with your frame rates. like i said, i have a slightly better setup than you and i get maybe 2/3 of the frame rates you get at most. i also play the big servers full of people, but i am really surprised you get nice frame rates on titan mode. btw, did you check your frame rates while fighting on or in the titan itself? i get under 15fps fighting on or in the titan making it impossible to kill anybody with a gun. you're running it in 1024x768, right?

The game sucks at putting system resources to use. My PC used to die when I played BF2142 too high, while it runs CoD4 on all medium with 2XAA no problems at all (70-90 FPS).

Yes, I am running the game at 1024x768, although I have a 17inch TFT Flatscreen, I would prefer 1280x1024, but the game doesn't have the option in the video menu (Only 1280x960 at 60hz). The lowest Fps I have seen during fighting is 17-20fps in the titan, but majority of the time was at 30+fps. I do wish for a Ati x800, which is the highest I can go on my motherboard (AGP). If I do see one, I will grab it. From me reading what you have, I do see that you do have a better system than I have. Although intel is really not a good cpu for gaming, and even though intel is really not a good comfortable chip. They do run hotter than Amd's, and I can imagine the fan ontop of them. Other than that, everthing else is nice for what you have. Working with logic gates, and the understanding of the engineering will give an idea of what is good for a cpu. I do stay away from Intel as much as I can, but that is my opinion.
