    CD key invalid like WTF

Guys , please a little help here if you can ?

Over 1500 hrsof BF2 and SF and I have never had the message come up when I try and join a server .

My copies are legit ( i cant be arsed with the hassle of burning CD for software i can more than afford to buy it )

Any ideas what has happened ?

      something happend

      go to

      start>run>"regedit"

      HKEY LOCAL MACHINE
      Software
      Electronic Arts
      EA GAMES
      Battlefield 2
      ergc

and in ergc, double click on (Default)

then in the value data, delete everyhting there

type in "x9392" w/o the quotes
and then your cd key right after with no spaces or hypens

      example
      x9392GHE299OKBI22

and then hit okay and close out of regedit

Had friend that download some custom map, off of a dedicated site.. Strike of Karkand 2 to be exact. It contained a keylogger, that not only captured his profiles info(name/PW), CD key, then sent it to a anon email. Changed out his CD key, and regedit would not fix it. A complete unistall with registry cleaner fixed it. Clean install of BF2..
          WooT! It worked!
