Hi i am wondering how do you put tags on your account? i cant find anywhere to enter them, is there a way or do you have to embed them into your name when you make the account?

Options > multiplayer options > change your name to have your tags in there

kinda sucks cause if you have a name like mine then well your screwed. i think the box allows 13 chars

Or when your game is up, open the console with the Tilda key ( ~ ) and type in
/name <new name>

Yes, by a couple of characters (limit of 15, I think). You can enter more, but only a limited amount are actually displayed.

sounds good. and to change the colour you push shift + 6 and then push a number from 1 -9 to get the color. guess you just have to keep guessing about the colours

Or go into the C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare Demo\players\profiles (based off standard instalation) And I think you can just change the name of the folder there, and you can lengthen your name. A frend of mine has it in game like this:

There's no point to using colours...they are not displayed in-game at all on the leaderboard or over your character - you'll see them on XFire server lists, but that's mostly it. Until/unless they fix or change this, adding the '^#' needed for each colour change only wastes characters you could use for your name.

lol, i asked about getting tags onto my name and it created a completely different subject on the colour lol thanks though
