I now play exclusively on servers with KillCam on, because it does wonders for my paranoia and blood pressure.

95% of the times where I think "Thats impossible, he must be cheating" the KillCam reveals that I was in fact shot in the back by a totally different guy than the one I was watching.

I have seen a few that I suspected of cheating when viewing the KillCam, but I don't think I have ever seen the same guy behaving suspiciously twice.

QFT. :salute: I understand why some folks hate the KillCam, but I like it for the reasons you state and because I can learn by seeing my mistake.

The most common hackers I find are M60 + no recoil and maybe an aimbot. It's blatantly obvious to tell with kill cam, too.

If you want to see "hackers" I would suggest you play on the best ping public servers. You should be able to find 2-3 on each server. Some are good at disguising it, others are not. Most hackers come out to play after school and weekends. Some are just that much better than everyone else.

When pubbing without my clan, I'll often go on the best ping servers. 2-3 hackers per server is quite simply a wild overestimation. I have seen one hacker (using mombot, and I beat the crap out of him even with his hacks) in 3 and 1/2 days of game time.

I am curious about one thing, why is it every time someone says hacker, the TGN staff always post "I have never seen one" It seems to me that there may be a directive to moderators from the management, to be in denial.

It's not just mods, look in any thread about hackers and you'll see endless reams of people who will swear they have never seen one (and are almost certain to be telling the truth, I mean why lie about it?)

I played 2142 for upwards of 350 hours and I saw 2 hackers in the whole time. They were both on my clan's server during the same round using namehacks and aimbots.

I have only ever run into one hacker, he admitted it and every single shot he took was a headshot and always one the round in free for all. People just wouldn't stop complaining even after you tell them to just leave and move on...

problem is the game encourages you to shoot through walls and the like.

never actually seen a hacker, if you think carefully though there is always an explanation, for example jumps.

if you kind of run and fall down a slope then jump you jump a load further then usual, ive seen people on servers free running across roofs on ambush after getting boosts onto the roofs. not by cheating because i attempted it my self with their help. it works.

silenced weapons and uav jammer dont always make you 'invisible' as you think you should be. You forget there is always some idiot taggin along fireing his unsilenced m4.

the settings make a difference too, put them lower and you see 'more' ie everything is less detailed so others stand out...

its more complicated in this game to spot an actual 'cheat' apart from when they blatantly crouch with a lmg and get insta-head shots.

I've already encountered 3 hackers in Call of Duty 4, each with increased amounts of hacks.

First - Aimbot
Second - Wall and Aimbot (didn't really need the walls)
Third - Wall first (he toggled on me, I saw it in killcam). I didn't say anything though, for fear of being wrong. Then he turned on his aimbot, which every time he got a kill displayed a message of who he killed, and at what distance.

I've recorded 2 out of those 3 hackers.

the only hacker/somethin or other i've seen was this guy with a rank of like 2 with martyrdrome and uav jammer

i had a buddy tell me about some auto knife hack? he said the guy ran past him and the all of the sudden jumped back and knifed him (an impossible jump) he said. are the hackers really that bad on here now??? not sure i've ran into one...

LMAO. You wanna see some hackers? Go on the =DiG= servers when there are no admins on. Seriously that ***bot ****, ya it's all over blatantly screaming out that YOU GOT HIT WITH A HEADSHOT FROM 40 FEET! like wtf? that's not normal. I've been in a server of 40 people where me and my 4 clan members were the only ones NOT hacking. funny thing, I actually did half way decent that round haha...but seriously i can't believe you guys haven't encountered any hackers yet.
