Did you start the server? Like from your PC? Or did you buy it from a company? If you started your own from your PC, could be that you don't have ports open in your router to allow incoming connections.

That's not your IP. That's the IP for your router, which is your local IP. Go to http://whatismyip.com to get your REAL IP. Also, most home internet providers change your IP on a regular basis, so that may change from time to time.

        hi
i uninstalled call of duty and reinstalled, open all the ports in the fire wall
and the router, ran punkbuster. then ran the dedicated server from inside
the game. i joined the server and about 10min later, two people were on
my server and kicking my ***. hehehheheh. they had high rank.here is the
name of my server and IP address. check it out some time.

          • That is not your IP-address
          • Nobody will be able to connect to that address ever.
          • It is not a valid IP-address
          • That IP-address does not work
          • Thats a LAN address, not an internet address

The only reason people have been able to connect is because they see you in the server browser, but that address does not work.

Go to http://whatismyip.com to find out your REAL IP. Also, that IP will likely change, as most home internet providers change your IP periodically to stop you from doing things like run game servers....

You are a bit fact-resistant, have you even tried going to http://whatismyip.com like we told you 117 gazillion times?

You might as well use 127.0.0.1 instead then. Easier to remember and works just as well.

                        There's no place like 127.0.0.1.

                          Wow, this guy is THICK!

That Ip address displayed on http://whatismyip.com IS YOUR IP ADDRESS!

That 192.whatever IS NOT YOUR IP ADDRESS!
