well when I had ATI, I always used Omega drivers

omega drivers are 3 months behind though, they only have cat 7.4 and the official version is 7.7.

i would just use the newest ones directly from ati, there will be new ones released in a week or two anyway.

fyi, your not going to see a noticeable difference in drivers anyway since the game is 2 years old, all the drivers in the last year are very optimized for the game so one isn't really going to outperform another.

I'm still using 7.4 because I haven't been able to get later versions to mesh w/ATI Tray Tools (displays current FPS and temp and other stuff in the top right corner of any 3d app/game).

Cat 7.8 is out, so I'll try that tonight.

Still playing with all details set to max at 1600x1200 on my 1900xt on 7.7 in vista.

Still no voip on any of my 3 sound cards.
