Anyone up for a Battlefield 1815 mod? You could extend to concept to loads of other 18th and 19th C wars.

Napoleonic in order to force team play, and because I've been reading too much Sharpe recently.

For the classes, you could have infantry (Musket + Bayonet), rifleman/ voltigeur (rifle, sword bayonet), light cavalryman (Pistol + Sword), dragoon (Carbine + Sword),heavy cavalry (Sabre, pistol + heavy armour) and artillery (sword, can operate guns in a squad of 3-4). Now that would make for challenging play...

That would actually be very interesting, and take a LOT of teamwork.

Modern warfare is the most interesting one for me.

Going outta space would be like watching Starwars or Starship Trooper.

i would only want that if the the buildings themselves are destructible and there is some penetration damage. it's ridiculous when someone goes inside a building upon seeing an armor and shield them selves with the walls when in real life the armor shell should penetrate and blow him into bits.:salute:

Yeah. That's another note they should take out of the CoD book.

Real indoor environments would be something I would definitely like to see. That's something I like about cod4, over the BF series, actually.

And last of all the terrain is amazing, you got some of the canyons, the cities such as Jerusalem, Tel Aviv. And then the outer villages so to say.

I want to see it in the middle east. But not like Iraq or Afghanistan. But rather Israel. There's alot going on down there, like conflicts withen religion and, well fighting.

Also Israeli Guns are just fkn amazing, some of the best in the world.

Plus someone could think of a really good plot too if they can.

A: It's not something we have ruled out, they are both very epic settings so it certainly is a possibility.

well based on the # of players online, modern warfare has the edge, i wonder if that's how they're going to gauge what the core players want. doesn't seem like WW/Vietnam/Korea is currently being considered but it's nice to hear that they haven't ruled out anything.

perhaps they're even checking out this poll.
or if they really mean "We try to listen to our players and if they want another World War 2 setting then maybe we’ll make one." they ought to just put up a poll themselves.

dude have you even played on the new engine? the frostbite dx engine does allow for some of those very things, (destructible environment) as well as extreme draw distances.

I think he didn't even consider the Frostbite engine, which in my opinion, seems to do the job, even if I've only seen videos...
