It is not the fastest 8000 series card, maybe the fastest 8600 series card. We've already proved that to you. If you know nothing about core architecture of the GPU, what MHz actually mean, or what the **** you're even talking about. Please, save yourself.
show me a card that ahs a faster clock core im waiting i have not seen one card that beats 756 out of the box.

u showed me a 730 thats it shut the hell up.

A Core 2 Duo at 2.4Ghz will run circles around a Pentium D at higher speeds.

      Why?

      DIFFERENT ARCHITECTURE.

Your 8600 card does not feature the newer hardware architectures such as a G92 core or PCIE 2.0

If you can't figure this out without me feeding it to you I can't help you anymore. You're whining like a little brat who just learned his first curse word.

It Doesnt Matter What The Core Clock Is If It's On A Different Core. You Can Not Compare Mhz Ratings Over Two Different Architectures. Its Impossible.

I love it when kids get mad over numbers when they don't know what they mean. ****ing ridiculous.

I know you'll come back...so when you do.

I can find you a card with:
          Higher Fill Rate
          Higher Memory Bandwidth
          More Stream Processors
          More Transistors
          Higher Rated Memory-Interface
          65nm GPU Process Architecture(G92)

I think BF2 is more popular than 2142 because it's a better game. Also, it's more realistic than 2142, which helps. Realism = good.

More people like realism, but that doesn`t mean that realism makes a game better.. Also, don`t forget the bias against EA which was the reason I and a lot of others didn`t buy the game.

i half and half agree with this rant, except it also helps to use weapon consistency, rather that just going full auto with a PKM and expect to hit something.

I dont know. From my own observation, its not the "realism" people want, its the "immersion". Meaning, more people are happy with firing an AK47, than they are firing a XM-472 particle beam launcher. However, when it comes to weight, physics and real life restrictions and limitiations, then its an instant throw-off for a lot of folks, most dare I say. "Immersion" would also explain why people like Master Chief, or why a lot of folks loved firing the standard marine issue M40 pulse rifle, or the Smartgun. And while generally people want something they can associate themselves with, and it just happens to be what we see in real life the most, realism in itsself is not a true factor. Who wishes to argue facts?

The thing with realism as well is that it causes a lot of moaning

people expected the Berret sniper in BF2 to dice a person but it simply wasnt going to happen in terms of gameplay and balance

You got to take a slice of both tbh for a Battlefield game

I think this describes it pretty well. I play BF2142 and while it's fun, it just lacks that 'it' that BF2 has for me. I'd rather use AK101s and M16A2s than Vosses and Krylovs. While the A8 Tiger was a nice throwback, the vehicles in BF2142 were innovative, but not as much fun as flying an AH-1 or F35B, or driving an M1A2. If I watch the military channel and see a special on tanks or jets, I think, 'Damn, I want to go back and play BF2 now.' :p Nothing much inspires me to play BF2142 (although the massive amount of detection devices in that game has something to do with that as well).

Don't confuse me with one of those kooks who would join the military because they think it'd be like a video game, though. Not what I meant by that statement.

Yeah, people want to forget about their crying baby, screaming wife, and fat boss for a few hours and play. Toying around with some **** laser beams does not quite cut it. Meanwhile, intense graphics and action coupled with an engaging sound/music back-drop suck you in. Sounds of guns and realism of graphics is important. BF2142 featured crap sounding weapons and bland, watercolor maps- while CoD4 has superb graphics and great weapon sounds.

If your game does not make people forget about what is going on around them then it does not succeed. And to create a game that makes people forget about what is going around them you need realistic graphics and sounds, as well as either action or suspenseful gameplay- not necessarily actual realism.

                              Cheers
