Really? Then you seem to be a very boring person, I find infantry only games get tedious & repetitive very quickly. Besides, BF2 is a long way off "half-arsed", the whole battlefield situation is performed excellently.

Vehicles make the game, Cod 2 i can play what 20 minutes before im bored out of my head, BF2 if u get bored, damn man just start doin some insane flying or racing around the map, fun fun fun. Only thing that ruins vehicles are the noobs that cry and stand infront of ur vehicle and say i want upsy:cry:

I`m the complete opposite. I get bored out of my scull in any game that has vehicles. 2 minutes in a jet, heli or a tank, and I`m ready to slit my wrists from the boredom. No matter what game, even bloody ArmA where they are beasts, I rather walk for 15 minutes than play with tanks and helis.
What`s even more boring than vehicles you ask? half-arsed infantry (BF2)

You see, a game which is specifically made for it, those are your exact words. But BF2 is not specifically made for anything, it simply encompasses everything, which is why it's so awesome.

It's much better to have a game that's 50% infantry, 50% tank than 1 game 100% infantry and 1 game 100% tank.

Look at Grand Theft Auto. Imagine never being able to get in a car. Or out of it.

Yeah, but in the 100% games, the gameplay is 10x better, more polished, more balanced, more feature rich, etc than the same gameplay aspect in a game with everything.

I agree cod4 the hit detection is weird and the overall guns in the game are total crap in bf2 you have to be close to the target or use iron sights to hit him atleast once. in cod 4 you can spray without iron sights across the map and you can smoke someone in the dome. cod 4 is a noob friendly game enough said.

You're just in complete denial about how bad BF2 really is, so when something proper comes along, you think it's too easy. Play COD4 and CS side by side... you'll understand pretty f*ckin' quickly that BF2's only hard because the reg is complete sh*t. Obviously everything else will look too easy by comparison.

The reg in BF2 must be just fine...I get killed in one shot all the time by just about any weapon, even if I started laying fire into someone else first.

are u kidding me? i play cs 1.6 and bf2 and cod 4, cs if compared is closest to bf2 the corsshairs and the way guns shoot bf2 and cs are the same cod 4 the crosshairs are massive guns spray, people DO NOT EVEN AIM WHEN THEY SHOOT!!!! people just point thoes massive cross hairs and just spray and pray they hit someone in the head. if your a noob and go on bf2 you will get dominated camping or not in cod 4 u just spray and u can kill anyone no matter the skill level of your self or the player.

Hell, I've been spoiled rotten by games that reward accuracy with results. The guy spamming rockets in UT is almost always smacked down by the guy who can shock combo or run and gun headshots with the sniper rifle. I still have a lot of trouble playing as infantry in BF2 because when I get the drop on someone, spray them in the face and chest with a rifle, and they turn around and shoot a lucky burst into me that kills me. Sure, being able to hose an area and kill people that you can't even see is frustrating for the guy on the other end, but putting rounds on target that don't count for anything is way more maddening for me.
