New to BF2

Actually I see plenty of new players all the time (and veterans leaving the game all the time). If it were the case that everyone who played had done for 2.5 years we'd see servers with 64 colonels on at a time, but we obviously dont see that.

Yeah, that's true I suppose. Hadn't thought of it that way. I played last night for the first time in what must have been 3 months (probably more) and saw a couple of three-star generals and a major, but otherwise they were all first sergeant or below. Nice to see there are still new people getting into this game. :)

To be honest mate theres no real way to get better unless u rank up, for some reason lower ranks can be killed easier, less armour or summat (Starts the "WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT U FLID?") try it i swear u will be killed quicker as a low rank.

My tip is to jump in a vehicle and get some kills that way, just till u rank up enough to get some good unlocks. Also dont play singleplayer u wont learn anything apart from how to kill a target, which is useless unless u can actually get to one in multiplayer.

Make a local server 64 size map, train with the planes, choppers, tanks everything, perfet ur aim, make your own targets. That way you get a feel for everything and when it comes to it u can kick some serious booty on the battlefield. Im PM'ing u a messege, take a look.

Some classes have better armour than others, low & high ranks have the exact same amount of armour. It's all in your head, maybe you feel more confident when you see a private.. dunno

It's mainly because the higher ranking players know how to move to screw up their hitbox, therefore leaving you needing more bullets to kill them. Gives the impression they get some sort of boost =P

Just play single player on hard, don't bunny hop, and just practice. With that, you'll be a decent player in no time.

Don't give the kid stupid advise.

yea just practice on single player. i bought the game when it came out only to find my connection was too slow to play online, so i just kept playing, then when we moved and got cable, i actually stood a chance

Join a squad, follow and learn, learn the maps but most of all have some fun, it's a game.

You will lose badly and die from things you dont see coming. I didn't feel like i was getting anywhere until around 50000 points and still don't consider myself above average at 112000.

Dont get hung up on points/stats as Karkand 24/7 nade monkey sessions are just boring there's so much more.

Tanks get you kills, use them alot :)
I looked at my first ever account and had 2/1kd ratio is armour lol even though my carbine and stuff was 600kills to 1500 deaths lol

Confidence boost or not, you get killed quicker as a low rank, i cant explain why cos i dont know, but you do.

yes i am crazy, delusional from the noob fleet which takes me at a low rank, yet i fight with a strong honor against them in my High ranked body.

On foot your a*s is grass low ranked. In a tank, there's no difference.
