Yeah, but unless you have changed the damage of G3 bullets in 0.7, you will get the LSD effect after being hit just once with the G3:)

I should hope so too! Falklands vets said that getting hit with that calibre of round in the FN FAL rifle was like being kicked by a horse!

thats what makes the AK so nice, not accurate at all but durable as hell, and did i mention the "thump" effect?

ever shot one for real? i have cool as hel, i'd like to shoot a G3 for real though.
M16 is good weapon, just not reliable.

nah, only the .22 cadet version of the SLR. I was too young to warrant losing my collar bone to the full on caliber. Then when I was of age, the L85A1 had come in (damaging recoil? that's some wierd urban myth with that rifle!)

Gonna upset some people here with something a fair few british army officers have said to me. The M16 is not primarily designed for the professional soldier. It can be used by pretty much everyone. Not a master weapon but a workhorse.

Can make jokes about not needing to learn anti radiation methods in the event of breaking the scope as per the SUSAT, but that's not funny.

well the AK is as im sure you know very durable, easy to use, maybe even easier than the m16, and allthough innacuate it has lotsa thump.

m16 is easy to use, but hard to keep clean, not a novice can clean it, and its just plan "jam happy" dang thing jamms on a foggy day, i mean it just a POS in poor weather or climate. now they may of changed it or donen something diff since i've fooled wiht them, but i've not heard of it. would be more cool for ya'll to add that into PR only downfall is the usmc will be jamming alot.
i think AA has that into there game if i remember right.
Also fired m203 alot its cool, easy to use, m60 is cool but jamms frequently also.
              :salute:

                  [edit] Accuracy

How to aim correctly with the M16The AK-47 is generally considered a less accurate rifle. The main problem is the AK-47 uses a crude type of sight, but when fitted with an upgraded sight, it has an effective range of around 285 meters.[citation needed] The relatively heavier recoil of the 7.62x39 cartridge can also be detrimental, requiring more skill and training to adjust to. Even with the lighter recoil and higher velocity of the 5.56x45 mm round, the original M16 and M16A1 did not offer the accuracy achieved with the later M16A2 using the SS109 bullet in semi-automatic mode. The M16 came from the factory capable of 3-4 MOA accuracy, allowing reliable hits on targets at up to 285 meters.[citation needed]

The aperture sights of the later M16A2 are superior to those used on most earlier assault rifles. Using an aperture rear sight and a small hole to center the front sight post, the human eye automatically centers the front sight post, making aiming faster and more consistent. The M16A2's rear sight features two aperture settings. The larger aperture enables faster sighting in poor lighting conditions. The smaller aperture permits more precise aiming for long-distance targets. The AK-47's sights are of a more traditional open style. The rear sight is a simple V-notch in which the front post is to be centered. This requires more concentration to use, as both the front and rear sight must be kept in alignment, and must be placed further away from the eye, or the same 'blurring effect' of the aperture sights will hinder performance.

Here ya go, good video of Recoil ........ :)

u know, ive had a thought, now the PR guys have got the laser designator to work, ive had an idea for the colour smoke,

is it possible to make it so jets can lock onto the smoke, this way

                        and Sl request air support,
                        commander approves
                        Sl pops smokes
                        Jet locks on and fires?

^^We have SOFLAM, why would we need to use smoke for target designation?

Oh and BTW, 0.7 will be out on the december 31st

Other than the fact that it looks like there'll be huge amounts of TKing, 0.7 is looking pretty good. I just think that the PR team should go record real gun sounds, as the current sounds are just off in some way.

Sike, I believe you can simply add a laser marker to the smoke grenade (Similar to how the jet's give off heat) - very easily in the editor... then just edit the smoke grenade color, and voila!

Also, on the topic of no minimap.
In real life, all the squads can communicate together via radio, letting eachother know their location. Not so in Battlefield 2 or PR, meaning much more FF.
