MG on downpour (TDM)

haha I was just playing that map on the one the few servers I get low ping on...

40 man server TDM, the thing was insane... you couldn't counter it because of the amount of enemies throwing grenades.

Usually I just pop the guy on the mg in the head, no prob, but this one night...oh em gee, this guy knew how to use the mg. I'm not sure if deep impact works, but the gun must have it default if that perk isn't applied to the weapon. He was killing people through the buildings, through the fence, you would almost instantly die if you spawned on that side. And with only a few people watching that side of the map, the rest of the team can focus on the other side. Sucks when you're on the team getting powned lol!

And for those saying meh, it's easy to take the guy off, depends on the situation. Smaller server, sure, you can sneak around and get him, but with a 30 man server or around there, there are way too many people, nades, and bullets flying with not enough space to get the guy, if he's even killing you through the shacks and stuff.

Like I said, it's only been that one guy, but man, it was nutz. :dead:

On the other topic I posted a screenshot of a 41 kill streak on downpour and I got a good few kills of it with the MG. Other people pointed out to me how lame they think it is.

I'm not narrowminded and feel offended when someone says that I use a lame weapon, so after the Martyrdom and Last Stand, here's the 'MG on downpour' topic.

Look at the discussion. Nobody insulted you until you started the personal bit.
Nobody said you were using a lame weapon, you started the personal bit in the other thread. I simply stated a fact, believe it or not, your sitting on the MG ruins the game for the other team.

MG, Sniper and the Airstrike / Helicopter that came with it. Tried to put it all into one picture. Ended up 54-2 with a 41 streak.

You're the kind of person that ruins games, sitting on the MG the entire round.

Then you must be the kind of person repeatedly running into the MG fire instead of going from the sides and killing me. Thanks for the kills, jealous :p

Never been killed by anyone I couldn't see. It's not unusual that I go somewhere between 20-0 and 30-2 on the map.
If it's so easy to kill the MG guy, why do you drop tears because of it here?

Like I said I've never had problems with MG's but I prefer smaller games (no more then 16 players). Anyway, you can probably shoot him with a MG or G3 + Deep Impact through the numerous obstacles, of course you need to position yourself correctly but with time that becomes second nature.

I normally play smaller games, too. The MGs aren't an issue really because if someone is spamming them, it is not too difficult to target them as they are pretty well exposed. In most rounds I've played on this map, it's like "asking to respawn" by using those MGs.

I got the idea for this topic from the other topic I mentioned, where he accused me of ruining the game for the opposite team by using the MG. I wanted to find out if that's the case.
Turns out that he was wrong, because the majority seems to think that the MG is ok. That's why he became pansy and felt that he had to cross-post all of this here.

Nice to hear the opinions on the MG. The number of players is definately a factor.

For everyone wondering about my verbal diarrhea, I'll lighten you up.

I got the idea for this topic from the other game I had, where I was killed by a Martydom nade, and I like... totally flipped out.. I wanted to find out if more people have a problem with the perk in the same, hopeless way I do.
Turns out that I was wrong, because the majority seems to think that the perk is ok. That's why I became pansy and felt that I had to whine more and more to keep people convinced that, even though I lack any reasonable arguments, I am still right. And after all these condescending and patronising posts about "accepted opinion" I have finally accepted that its cool to go against my own teachings.

Ive never had a problem with these on any map, as soon as i hear the thing start up i go and take care of it. Doesnt have to be a sniper, i usualy do it with a p90 from miles away.

Majority of the time, the people on the MG have juggernaut. And unless you're playing hardcore, they'll go prone, recover, and come back up.
