Server Pings?

I updated to the 1.4 patch and saw a huge jump in ping, but recognised a server that usually had a low ping, I connected and in game it was back down to 60, so I dont know

same, all my pings say they are huge but if i connect they go downa fair bit, im having trouble finding more than 5 Aus servers to connect to though

Where has internode gone? They went last night from 1.3 so i thought they had patched up, but they are not on 1.4 either.

Ok, I found out:

I joined one of the 5 servers I saw with low ping, and asked around. Every single one of them had really high ping servers in their browser. Also, the server was not recently restarted, so it can't be server side.

Just out of curiosity have you tried connecting to any of the high ping servers?

I can... but the pings on the servers are all over the place.

Same thing here. If I join a server with a ping of 4000, i usually get 90 while playing, But what sucks is that most servers tell me this is for low ping players, although before I would be able to join them.

Time to use XFire server browser again. Seems to work better than the ingame one.
