I would rather kill the driver first, so he can't run away or run over you. then the gunner, after wards the passenger is so confused you can knife him when he gets out of the car

everyones explanations so complicated
for my strategy is RORSCH
with (the most important thing -->) 10 sensativity!!
this makes the rorsch spin with ease.
what i normally do on Camp G if im EU i quickly run to the rorsch near the flag and wait, once a FAV flies up the ramp i OWN'Em with the rorsch, if i miss i quickly turn around and take another shot (again possibly because of the full sensativity). to me who need RDX or fancy motion mine placement

Errr... Me. I have a G-5, so I can effectively use my "Merry-Go-Rorsch" however if the FAV is moving at full speed the Rorsch shot will occasionally "Bounce" right off the FAV; ie direct hit but no damage done. A few EMP Mines stops/slows them enough that the bouncing doesn't happen. Another problem with simply hopping in the Rorsch before motion mine placement is the walker... Any intelligent Walker pilot knows how to get away from a Rorsch without taking any damge (shoot at the front plate). If you drop some mines before you hop in, the walker either gets killed or is too scared to come all the way onto the harbor.Comment

oooo:shock: bouncing off i was wondering what was happening when i shot at a FAV and i just see an explosion but the FAV just keeps on driven, i always though i missed or something (which i never do :p)Originally posted by FingulfinErrr... I have to say, that when it comes to the FAVs, I hate jihading/car bombs. Its just the aspects of it, not the actual technic.
It ticks me off that someone can put a few(one to five) RDX on a FAV, speed at my tank, jump out of vehicle doing 100 miles an hour survive, then the RDX detonated destroys my tank, then they run back up to the FAV that was car bombed, put another RDX on it and do it again.
Now if the FAV was destroyed in the process and they had to walk their merry butt home and were somewhat injured from the jump out, where I stood a chance with a SMG vs Lambert. Then I wouldn't have a problem with Jihad/car bomb, but to use a car bomb then jump back in the car you bombed and drive away that you used just isn't right.Comment

I usually use Walker to move around and there are only two things that I see as threat: gunship TV missiles and FAV kamikazes. The last one is my first to kill priority.
So far I use three options to survive.
1. Non-stop moving with random direction changing.
2. lay down you course to destination through areas where there are a lot of obstacles. It slows FAV speed and give you a possibility to hide behind when you see inbound FAV.
3. If there is no place to hide fire entire rocket pack just a little ahead of FAV.
Driver usually turns out.
Today I have survived 4 attempts to blow me up with result 4:0. :)Comment

There seems to be one thing missing here the trustworthy pilum!!
if they have taken any smal amount of damage you have a 1 shot kill even if they havnt there is a lot of noobs that dont get out even if they do thers a gd chance they will be in the open and dont know where you are so just get out the smg and pick them off
gunships arnt that good unless you have a gd gunner or the fav dosnt know your comeing i have got away from them many times unless they have a gunner
and finally if there is one person in the gunner seat just bunny hop up to the fav and shoot his face very easy to doComment

Pilum is a bad idea... The Rorsch bounces occasionally and it is really annoying, but the Pilum bounces off of a full speed FAV at least 75% of the time.
As for gunships not being able to kill a FAV... Your joking right? You must be playing against nubbie pilots. Three Gunship missiles kills a FAV, and its not very difficult to lead them. If you know how to solo, then it is even easier!Comment

Agreed, its also a great way to bleed off those extra rockets after a kill and you want a full load without affecting your accuracy.Comment

I did a few rounds of titan where I just simply take a fav of my own, along with someone else to operate the fav machinegun and just simply go out on patrol, without planning to do any silo capping for the game. We'd just drive around and pursue any enemy fav we spot. We can also double up as a tankbuster squad where i can drive behind a tank and let my engineer buddy pilum his rear armour.Comment

Re: Dealing with those crazy FAVs.
i think 5 seconds is abit of an overestimation. Maybe 3 seconds. But to have all your squadmembers unload into a single car would have problems of its own.
-no one is watching out for enemy troops during that time.
-your whole squad would be emptying their whole clips and forced to reload at the same time
-2 or more support machineguns firing on the car might be a better option, but they will have overheated guns and become vulnerable to the fav passengers that bailed outComment

Re: Dealing with those crazy FAVs.
Lol my tactic is to force them driving into the wall. By make a runway with EMP mines :P
When it comes to Jihad idiots, I usually drive my APC behind some trees or some obstacles and pepper it with my fire. Sometimes however, I just emp the car and watch it slow down about 5 meter in front of me and my mortar crew will rip it apart lol.
In worse case scenarios, I jump out of my vehicle and pilum and jump back in if I missed the first shot.
My most embrassing moment: A Jihad running across a ramp flying then hit my gunship flying low doing a turn lol. I didn't know what hit me until my squad member started laughing.Comment

Re: Dealing with those crazy FAVs.
If the FAV driver is clumsy, hope he runs into a wall and have 2 supports with stock LMGs just crouch, scope, and spay. Accuracy doesn't matter much cause it's a huge target.
(it's great fun taking out FAVs on Shingle)Comment

Re: Dealing with those crazy FAVs.
Gunship is a great way to put a FAV to a stop. I use 5 missiles to take out a FAV. Once i used 2 missiles to kill the driver from the front and teammate reused the FAV. W00t!
A way to use the gunship is to TV ahead of them [i am a solo pilot] or at least damage them to the extent that they are on fire.Comment
