IW haven't said one way or another if it's permanent or temporary.

I wouldn't be surprised if they do find a way to disable it in a patch in the New Year. However, as in my post above, perhaps they'll replace it with a straight-up night-time version of Crash.

Wow, patch 1.4 and the game still isn't out in Thailand. Just wonderful.

Yeah, but that was on my own listen server, in a corner where nothing is moving around, and I have a lot of my settings turned down so I get smoother gameplay (eg. 1024 resolution, no shiny, lol).

My vid card is only an X1950XT 256MB. I want to get an 8800GT, but price is just a bit too high still for me to justify it. I would love to see the game in all its glory with everything cranked up high, but even so, it still looks very good.

I got x1950 Pro 256Mb and i got all the settings high. And i get good 60 FPS(It's better what i got in bf2142). But in some situations it drops to around 30(recording with fraps)...

Yeah, it's during those frame-rate drops that I often die so I decided to sacrifice some eye-candy for better playability. Most maps run around 80-90 fps now, and rarely drop to 50, even when lots of stuff is going on.

I get about 7 FPS on all high, that is.. in SP.

If I were to play MP, I'd probably go all low and get around 20FPS max.

I get that frame drop when i hit 'record' with FRAPS.. :)

But with fraps recording i get better fps than with bf2142 in general...

                            *Edit*

I just tested the map, and there is one downside(kinda). You can't get to the roof(m3ow's way) anymore. There is candybar in the corner of that building, and it blocks the jump to that lightpole...

my FPS seems to be capped at 21? how do i make it higher? Although is anything above 20fps even noticeable?

                                Hell yes.

But past like 50, I don't seem to notice much, but definitely past 20.
