my FPS seems to be capped at 21? how do i make it higher? Although is anything above 20fps even noticeable?

you can use the

/com_maxfps ____

command in the console to cap at a higher rate, like 60, 125, or 333 (those are "magic" numbers that actually are used by jumpers to get a bit more height).

Or, put this in your config_mp.cfg file: seta com_maxfps "___"

And yes, stuff above 20 fps is quite noticeable...even rates above 60 fps. The "human eye recognizes only 60 fps" myth is just that - a myth. It can go much higher.

How many of you has heard "Ho, Ho, Ho" when airstrike comes??

Yep, you hear the "Ho Ho Ho!", and jingle bells in the background too! The folks over at IW have a pretty good sense of humour.

Someone even said they drop "presents" that explode, instead of the regular-shaped bombs, but I haven't verified that myself.

I just tested the map, and there is one downside(kinda). You can't get to the roof(m3ow's way) anymore. There is candybar in the corner of that building, and it blocks the jump to that lightpole...

Oh, it can still be done.



And it's real pretty up there, too.



Basically, you get up on the same sandbags, but have to approach from the Right side of the candycane. Get a bit of a run, and hop onto the light pole.



It's much harder though to hit that spot dead-on...I fell quite a few times (but, I'm not a jumper, I just wanted to see if it could be done :) ).

I almost dropped off from my chair when i heard "Ho, Ho, Ho" and then i had to ask in the chat if anyone else heard it, just to make sure that i ain't trippin..

I gotta try to verify that presents being dropped...

About that jump, i saw someone jumping to that metal box, with almost no sprint. He was standing in the edge of the sandbags and jumped from there.

After "studying" it on my own and after two CTF rounds i have to say it's a weird/fun map to play. The night setting is pretty cool, the Santa "ho ho ho" when the airstrike comes is pretty cool/weird... it's nice for this time... but i dunno if it will be taken out on forward patches... it will be strange to play it after Xmas... but only for the night setting and the snow it worth it, xmas decoratin apart.
