Before the vocal whining minority kicked in, we had a trinity of golden balance.

    USMC had a Black Hawn
    MEC had a Mi-28
    China had the J10

At certain maps, fulfilling certain functions, these aerial vehicles gave those certain maps a colour, a taste. People who got raped in Sharqi by the Mi, went to Mastur and enjoyed their rapage.

Nerfing, in its literal meaning, to satisfy the whiners, is proven by facts. If DICE really cared past shutting the crybabies up, they would have taken care of jet hitboxes, after they "fixed" the missiles.

Im glad the gaming industry still has people in it that work very, very hard to create balance in their product. Take a look at COD4 perks system, the ammount of work to balance them ALL up, must have been colossal.

you must be stupid to think bf2 infantry combat is any good. how many times have you shot someone in the face when stood next to them and they dont die and get you instead ? or the weapons zooming out by themselves. it feels laggy as **** even with a 15ms ping, you could probably go make a cup of tea after pressing prone and then trying to stand up.

bf2 is all about vehicles and thats where i am the majority of the time, keeps me away from those frustrating peashooter guns and medic only squads that gangrape you.

        That's BF2 :yay:
Exaclty! One time on Gulf I just sat there by River Fortification, and watched as 2 helos were duking it out, while the SU came in for a bombing run, only to be taken out by an F35 as he pulled away, while 2 AT's were holding off a Tank at another flag. Height. That's what I love about BF2. No other game I've played has such 'height' to the action. Most games only deal with 20 feet of height above the ground. BF2 gives you 1000m at least

2 nights ago, I had a full squad that were all spawning on me, and we rolled over half of the map by ourselves, with teamwork. All 6 had mics, and we were pointing out armor and infantry, etc. That's why I still play BF2 :salute:

I love those kind of dynamics too.

What I also love is when a teammate or I, are in trouble with the other jet chasing him or me, and when you get on the chaser's back and take him out, thus saving the guy. :)

To be honest, I did my fair share of whining about Blackhawks and how it`s impossible to take them down. But whoring the AT kit made me realise how easy it can be actually, with a buddy in the squad and on TS of course.

Then my love, the grenade launcher, got nerfed

Never played 1942 but judging by the screens, it does look awfully silly and childish. I doubt I would have liked it back then when OFP and all the other games were new and fresh.

In general, the graphics are a lot better, and the PHYSICS in game engine. Graphics in BF2 look alot more comicbook-alike, and generally look worse. And the sounds are soooo much better, BF2 doesn't even have a distant-sound engine.

Can you jump up on a tank without dying/sinking in the tank?

Can you fill a transport aircraft with dozens of people, then have a huge paradrop?

Can you jump on an aircraft wing and ride on it while its flying?

                  NO.

How can you say BF1942 has better physics, and then use this as your arguemnt

battlefield 1942 for its day was probily more superior than bf2 at its height.

However a remake of 1942, that would kick ***.

Bf1942, had ships with guns, huge gunhs on side of islands, proper bombers, submarines.
It just simply kicked ***. Even single player had a brief story line to it lol :)

but now in my opinion a little outdated.

A lot of people have run into issues with 1942 on Vista, also. I tried to play again and found that the only gun with a crosshair is the engineer's primary. Even the sniper rifles lack crosshairs.

It was a great game, back in the day. It sold enough to allow for multiple expansions, BF:Vietnam and BF2 to be released.

                          What do you mean?

Maybe because you can't do that in BF2 engine? You can't even have SHIPS because the engine sucks, you cannot walk on moving vehicles. Or those transport planes, it is fun in Desert Combat to just jump in a Blackhawk helicopter, and go. It's one part of battlefields.

I meant that you said the physics engine is superior to Battlefield 2, then stated a reason that is physically impossible to do, but can be done in 1942.

I'm not denying that the BF2 engine sucks however.

If I remember, in the BFPirates mod for BF2, you can walk on the ships. So, it is possible to do it but I'm guessing it's tough to do it.
