ok i would like to tell all you idiots that double tap does JACK SH!T to the fire rate or bullets fired on the G3. if you want the g3 to be full auto, just go to controls and change your "fire weapon" to scroll up and down. holy f that thing is a beast with that, and now you can have knife on left click for some more fun. believe me, i got blue tiger in one day with scroll G3. as soon as you see someone, set the sights on the stomach and scroll away powpowpowpowpow. head shot

p.s. you MUST use bandolier because you go through bullets like nothing else

p.p.s? scrolling is horrible for the M14 because of huge recoil.

Well most of us know that it double tap does nothing... and I have tryed the scroll but I would rather not use it.. I feel I can tap just as fast imo.. and I can control it better.. I must say the G3 is my fav gun to use now.. I can do better with my RPD setup, but I think it is more fun using the G3.. I am still trying to figer out if I want to make another G3 for a stealth setup or just use the AK with UAV Jammer and Silencer.. I will have to try it out some more and I will get back on it..

I like the G3 but it's not my fav, it is certainly one hell of a medium-long range weapon but when I get in those close encounters I'd rather have an SMG.. it depends on the map I guess. It's harder to use on, say, Vacant, but so is an SMG on Overgrown.

That's the main reason I like it. It's balanced. It forces you to think about where you go and what kind of situations you put yourself in. Been using it more and more the last couple days and I've found myself whipping out the Deagle if I have to go inside a building.

If there was a gun that was good at all ranges, we'd all use it and we'd be playing 2142 again (I'm looking at you Voss :shakehead)

I think the G3 is the best all around gun, the only thing i dont like is its huge deviation while moving, which i guess is for balance.

I really hate to keep brining it up, but Double tap works on single fire weapons.

I don't have any idea why anyone would think it doesn't, the perk isn't go through ammo twice as fast, the perk is pull the trigger once, fire two bullets. Works on single fire weapons just as well, all you have to do is pull the trigger once, and two bullets are missing, you don't have to be a genius to know what's going on.

The Perk is not "fire two bullets" but "increase rate of fire" which I believe we all agree is 2X. That means it fires two rounds in the same time it normally fires one round.

I think it'd be awesome if double tap made the single fire weapons (besides bolt action snipers, obviously) fire two shots.

It doesn't work with Single fire weapons, I did test with the G3 and M14. They don't fire 2 rounds. Only 1.

in this situation overkill is your friend

i've had a class before with a G3 (red-dot) and an M1014 (red-dot) with steady aim and bandolier

absolutly ripped the server wide open, you've got goo long range capabilities and then a nasty sting in CQC

im having problems with the G3 in the fact that when i run and gun i cant judge where the bullet is going in the fact that the deviation is so huge, much like the M14.

                          Where is its sweat spot?

I run, stop and shoot, then run again. This fixes the deviation problem. It's like with the pistol, you want to stop strafing and decide to pick a target and just shoot it.

Well I don't like overkill to be honest, I ditch my deagle for a good alternative weapon as soon as I get the chance.

That is why you need to use the right set up.. I can take out sniper's and I can take out SMG's you need to use Steady Aim on all weapon's.. and on the G3 it will take out P90's like nothing..
