Annoying Problem

BF2 crashes :)

Ok...let me explain problem.
Game crashes once a day. Just once...every day. I have BF2 since it's release and over those 2.5 years I had my share of problems like most of you. But this is the first time that I'm completely clueless.
System spec:
Asus P5B i965 chipset
Intel c2duo 6400
2x1Gb Geil ultra ddr2 800
Gigabyte 7900GS
2x160Gb WD SATA2
Pioneer 108D
Audigy2
CoolerMaster RealPower 450W
WinXP pro SP2
etc...
Usually I OC everything but since this summer I have everything on it's default values. Problem with BF2 started few months ago so don't suggest to overclock everything again :) It has nothing to do with OC.
I doubt that it has anything to do with hardware. I did all kind of stress tests and my system came clean. Note that I have problem only with BF2.
I have latest chipset, vga and sound drivers...latest bios...ohh...and yes, patch 1.41 for BF2.
I reinstalled windows...reinstalled game twice...pb is updated regularly...hdd is defragmented...registry cleaned.
But game just keep crashing. I don't have problem connecting to acc server or game servers but after 10-15 min (sometimes 1 hour) game just crash on desktop. Sometimes I can hear some sort of sound loop, sometimes it just crashes. Sometimes I can restart it and play normally for few hours but sometimes I can't start it at all...unless I restart my computer. And that is a huge problem for me since I'm a clan member and those crashes can cost my team greatly.
I forgot to say that when I'm playing AV (kaspersky) is turned off, only TS runs...cache from C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxx\My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2 cleaned...and I did some experiments with virtual ram. Currently it's 768 mb...I tried 512...
So if anyone has any idea, please share it with me.

first...i have 2gigs of ram too and my pagefile is set to 2500.
second, can you have ur computer log its temperature. still could be overheating. (mite have to clean up the dust in your computer)

I knew that I forgot to mention something :). Yes I checked possible overheating...cpu is at 45-47 Celsius, mobo at 35...gpu at 50...
As for page file...dunno. I have 2 gigs for over 3 years (naturally not this ram) and never before had problems with page file. I mean what's the point of having lot of ram and huge page file. It's suppose to be something like this : more ram-less page file...but you never know...I'll try with larger settings.

yeah i still dont knowwhat the perfect settings for pagefile is . some say u should set it low, some say you should set it high. but im thinking that if ur computer is using all 2gigs of ur ram and then wants to store more, then itll have the page file to dump to. who knows. oh and another thing. i have my initial/max set to both 2500 so it doesnt change

I checked Event Viewer and found this :

hm this is a tough one. :hmm:

sounds like you checked everything and covered all the bases. the only thing I can think of is a possible irq conflict possibly with your sound card. can you delete it and move it to another slot? also did you try running memtest86 to stress test each stick of ram?

Can you post the entire log from Event Viewer as a .txt file? Something I learned from programming classes is to not always look at the actual error, but look at what happens before the error. Look for trends, especially, in the error log.

It appears that I solved my problem. I raised memory module voltage from 1.8 to 2.10 and it works fine.
