This patch is destroying the game for me, snipers are overpowered now, there was never anything wrong with them before IMO.

Everyone uses the G3 with a silencer or the M14, and snipers are everywhere simply dominating everything, i saw a sniper server where 5 snipers finished within the top 8 on Strike of all maps!

Im disappointed to say the least.

QFT! Everyone wants to see how the sniper rifles and ACOG work now, since that been a highly anticipated fix.

Personally, I'm more afraid of the M14+ACOG then any of the sniper rifles. :shock:

Game is still fine it is just your mental state that makes you paranoid about snipers. Relax and go knife them.

OMFG STFU all you whiners. If you die in games now its because ur not good not because of a patch. Whats easier than killing a camper? Playe the game smart. There are still downsides to the acog because alot of thesze maps are small and the increased range will make it difficult to use scope all the time. The snipers are VERY FAR from being overpowered. Its the same ****in weapon but now you can actually hit your targets. It isnt a one shot kill weapon either. Head shots of course and upper chest. I think this game has gotten even better now. I LOVE IW thank you so much for this. I stayed up till 1 in the morning because I could'nt stop playing with me m40 + acog!!

Yep, i like the new patch, i put the ACOG on my G3 and off i went, loads of fun. I didn't find it a sniper-fest either, so i don't know what everyone's on about with that really.

Just had a couple of games, and that was a bit of an M14 fest, but im sure it will die down.

At the end of the day its just a game.

Before the snipers couldnt hit anything and I was Pwnzoring tehm like crazy. Now this patch IW released FIXES the problems! Now when I do a head shot, it actually hits them in the HEAD!

Oh noes, this game is ruined now. Before I could run around up the middle of the streets dogding GL shots, now I GET SNIPED!

People with the ACOG might as well using h@x3s. A SCOPE THAT WORKS! CURSE YOU IW!!!!!111!!!11

Im going back to CS:S where there are no overpowered weapons and everyone plays fair.!

It's not because you couldn't hit **** with the sniper that an experienced sniper couldn't. A clanmate of ours is an extremely good sniper and very deadly with it. He could hit targets just fine. The snipers just required practice and an actual learning curve before you could be really effective with them. This should be so for all guns basicly. But no, all the noobies and little kids went crying cause they couldn't hit anything cause they're just **** with the rifles so IW patches it so it's just the point, click, kill sniper like CoD2 had...

Thanks Ranger, Im glad my post is being taken as humor and sarcasm. I dont do it often because I dont want to get flamed, but its nice to see a patch come out that fixes something and not break stuff.

Im sure I will get pwned more by the snipes and ACOG, but thats OK, because I can do it too. Its a fun game and Im having a great time playing it. I hope everyone else has more fun too.

Ferali, that could be true BUT I suspect that the problem did not affect everyone.

There are a number of reasons I say that, but I cant word it correctly. My experience with it was I would aim NEXT to the head and get a head shot. If I aimed ON the head, most the time, nothing.

I am talking standing still targets, not running.

I will be the first to tell you that I am not the greatest sniper, but I actually practice for HOURS (OK, maybe about 3 hours only) on stationary targets (Cars, statues, crates, lettering on trucks) and would ALWAYS hit em. Do it on a person, nothing. Then I did the "shoot next to them" technique, started getting kills.

Blame it on lag, blame on me sucking, but there were a lot of gripes and a lot of people finding nothing wrong.

As for the ACOG, I found that **MOST** people that had problems with the sniper also had issues with the ACOG. Again, me included.

I did great with the red dot scope, so you would think an advanced ACOG would be even better, but for me it wasnt.

Its just my theory.
