    Flash, Stun or Smoke?

Which do you find the most useful in most situations? :)

Flash. Large blast area, long effects. Works great in most maps.

I prefer the stun. Flash is bad, you can't see if you hit your self. But Stun alows them to see me kill them

Smoke with all my kits. It's especially great for assaulting, You can use it to cover your movement from a corner if your smoke it just in front of you. Or use it to put a curtain of smoke between you and any one sniping. Or lastly, use it like a grenade, and launch it into a group of defending enemies, and rush them while they come out to get out of the smoke, which might also be the same way as you rushing in.

Stun and flash can be effective, but it can also be dealt with, Stun nades you just gotta stop and try to shoot where ever is close. Flashed? lie down and don't move at all, there's a good chance people will mistake you for dead.

Thats why I like smoke so much it's useful in doors and out doors, flash and stun nades are most effective in a urban, close quarters environment

I prefer stun because it's faster to throw and has hit detection (to see if it really had an effect).

Stun for sure. The enemy can see what's going on but can't move or do anything about it which I love. You can just run up to them and knife them without fear of'em running away.

With flash the radius is bigger yes, but the target can still move around and shoot like a monkey on xtc. Plus if you only get hit a little bit by the flash you can still see good if you concentrate, where as you still can't move good with stun. And if you know your way around the map a bit it's still possible to get into cover while being blinded by flash (I've done it a couple of times).

Smoke can be useful sometimes... sometimes. It doesn't have that much uses except for sneaking past a certain point. Your enemy can't see you, BUT, you can't see your enemy either and it also gives the enemy an opportunity to sneak past the same point. So smoke is only useful in those rare occasions.

I have a class devoted to using stun.

P90 + Silencer (I'm going to switch to a different SMG soon)
                USP.45 + Silencer
                Stun x3
                UAV Jammer
                Dead Silence

How to: Sneak up on enemy units (works best on bigger maps). Stun them. Shoot them down while they're relatively harmless and knife the last man if your mag runs out. Move away from the area and hide (with UAV Jammer they'll never find you). Repeat.

                    Enemy in room.

                    Possibilities;

1; Throw a smoke, you both get lost in house, smoke clears, you're shot.

2; Throw flash, don't know if you hit him, run in, get killed.

3; Throw stun, get hit detection, go in, get the kill.

                    Crossing a field.

                    Stun, useless, flash, useless

Corss field with any of these you're a dead man, so smoke.

There's many situations for many special grenades, so have one kit with each.

I either take: 3x Frag and Smoke or 3x Special and Stun with most of my kits.

Stun I like for the hit indicator over flash. Smoke has so many tactical uses. One I hadn't expected is a frag grenade magnet. A surprising number of people start tossing their frags into a smoke cloud. Nice to get those out of the way.

                        Stloke, of course.

Serious answer: Stun for hit detection.

I personally prefer Stun and Nade combo, but I still love the smoke and wish you could get 3 of them. I hate the flash unless I'm on a FF on server because everyone just starts shooting wildly and its unrealistic. I've been able to knife people when I'm stunned, they throw a Stun before coming up the ladder and I just wait patiently until they reach the top.

                              Flashbang

So many people love stun but think of this: If you're entering a room and someone is in there you throw your stun. But if the person is defending the room, wouldn't they already be looking at the door? I've killed so many people who throw stuns into rooms I'm guarding, but since the crosshairs were already on the door it had no effect. Also, people with variable dpi mice are unaffected by stuns, they simply turn up the speed.

Flashbangs on the other hand have greater range and completely ruin anyone's ability to know where you are. Sure, if they're already looking at the door they can spray it to hopefully hit you, but if you wait for them to spray all their shots, then run in, you kill them while they're blind and reloading.
