I dont think its a noobish weapon. Its a little too accurate over distance (providing you use short controlled bursts
) and the rate of fire is a little over the top but it isnt a noob weapon.
The 203 grenade launchers and martyrdom on the other hand is something completely different, the clever server admins out there should disable the 203s, same with martyrdom. I personally think that tougher punishment should be introduced to people that TK with martyrdom, they would think twice then about joining a team based server with that crap enabled.

IMO its lower dmg balances it with say the MP5 in normal mode. In hardcore however, it can turn south since it's pretty accurate from the hip with steady aim , has a 50 round clip, a high ROF, and only takes a couple hits to kill.
"Noob gun" is a harsh term that implies nerfing though, so be wary.Comment

It is equivalent to BF2142's "Voss"; easy to use and effective. Once you learn to love it, it's an easy choice for your preferred loadout.
I've been very vocal about my preference for the M14, but I've just been enjoying the G3 quite a lot.Comment

Well I was a MP5 man until I got the P90. Thats how I ranked from rank 49-55 in less than an hour. It's a great gun, but I alternate between the Skorpion, P90 and MP5 to not get into a single groove and get worked.Comment

Love the P90 in other games. I've picked i up a couple of times, but don't think too much of it. Its range is limited...even in controlled bursts.
And at close range, you get owned by a guy with a shotty.
Martyrdom is fine as it is. Same with noob tubes. At least rounds are limited.Comment

Just because a gun works well doesn't mean it's a noob weapon. I'm sick of threads like this where people say "oh this weapon is too powerful, do you agree? If they don't nerf it I'm outta' here." Granted, this thread is better than the rest but it still annoys the hell out of me.Comment

Well, when I think about it, none of the guns or perks in this game are stupid. It's just the way they're used that no0bish. Like, the P90 is good, but when you got a guy who will hop around a croner then that's noobish, but that doesn't make the gun noobish. That means if he had an M16A4, or an AK, does that means it's a noob gun? Or that the guy using it is a noob? I think you get my point.Comment

Like every gun it has its strengths and weaknesses, and its all about choosing the right weapon for your playing style and map. I love the p90 as i like to be in the thick of it, bobbing up and down behind things and running about like a loon. This is what im good at and this is how i choose to play, but i run the risk of being picked off by snipers or people who just like to camp for their kills.
At the end of the day its each to their own, people will always moan about somebody else's weapon/tactics when things dont go their way.Comment
