They should have nerfed all the other kits too.
Why should the assault kit require more skill than, lets say, medic or support, which are a lot more useful in the assault class atm.

I`ve been whoring GL for a long time so I`ve got no problems with it, but it`s just stupid that other kits are far more succesful at assaulting with less skill then the assault class.

Hmn.. You have a good point there... But I think the kits are fine as they are now..
I like the Grenade Launchers.. Just practice a little bit and you can get some kills

Like anything that requires aimimg the GL does require skill, any idiot can throw a pineapple (and TK you). I'm only just beginning to appreciate its value....particularly at long range. The only major disadvantages of the GL is the smoke trail (gives your position away....especially so if you miss) and you have to expose yourself more if firing downwards from ellivated positions.

But remember that you only get a smoke trail if you have the set "Effects=Medium or high".... So you dont know what setting the enemy has

The smoke trail is ok for me though Heh =)

I voted don't change anything, but I hate the fact where people run around with the GL already up and when they come close to an enemy they just shoot the ground, killing the enemy.

True....explains why I get shot in long grass too. Having Effects (and Shadows) to low or off is almost cheating unless you really do have a pile-of-poop PC.

I just figured out what GL is for, it's awesome against FAVs, or DPVs, it can also take the other more heavily armored jeeps out in 2 shots!!!

Its not that bad now it just takes practice and the GL can go 50 feet so I dont really think its underpowered range wise.

I like the GL...don't use it that often but it is handy to play on I/O urban maps. Practice with it on an empty map and get an idea how what distances correspond to the lines on the crosshair. After a short while, the loft compensation becomes second nature.

idk, I think it's called Grenade launcher for a reason. But comparing the splash damage from a normal nade with the one of the nade launcher nade......
I voted invrease the splash damage. Or even decrease the splash damage for normal nades.
I think a grenade launcher is meant to be used against vehicles and targets that are to far away to "throw" a grenade, so you use the launcher.
In BF2 it's more use as a Close combat weapon and for this the splash is OK.
Still I think normal nades and launcher nades should have the same splash damage.

Don't get me wrong, I never used the GL before patch 1.41, so I don't know how it was before and I can handle the GL quite good.

I think that the GL needs fixing. It should be equal to the hand tossed ones, the only advantage it should have is the range. When it got nerfed they over did it but thats a normal thing for EA to do. Take what we ask for, a good Idea, and twist it into something else. Oh well, Maybe it will be better in the next game. . . . . . . . .Red

Well, maybe if we were given a better sighting system we could land the grenades closer get the kill, and not complain.

Because M203s are to get guys behind cover n stuff.

And not just ONE guy, but several. And TBH, a 1m kill radius is BS in my opinion.
