Getting Headshots

I find I get a lot of headshots accidentally... perks like Steady Aim must be helping me out.

the only times i can get headshots at point blank intentionally is when i go up close and use my iron sights/reflex sight. If i get them during battle it is through pure luck. Some weapons i find it easier to get headshots with though, like the M16, M14, P90, Scorpion.

The g3 racks up headshots like nothing,red dot sight of course though.

Some guns won't kill with 1 headshot in normal mode, so in hardcore you have a better chance of getting the headshot counted as a kill. (I think)

But also remember that if you hit their chest in hardcore it'll kill, so any "miss" and you've wasted that target.

yes,3 shots is the most ive wasted on some enemy with my g3 :)

I just cant get over its power and accuracy.

well im just over halfway to getting my gold Uzi, i need about 475 more headshots with the SMG's to get it. I just wish you could dual wield Uzi's using overkill.

You could dual-wield P90's in Goldeneye: Rogue Agent.

But yeh... headshots in this game are pretty random, you just gotta keep playing and eventually the number of headshots will go up.

im starting to average between 5-10 on good rounds, this still means i have to play almost 10 rounds to get 75 headshots though.

Basically what it is, i have got to level 55 earlier than i thought i would, have completed most of the non gun challenges and am looking at something to keep me playing until the mods come out and the crazy maps are released, so i thought getting me a gold uzi would be fun

Plus i get to show it off while ingame of course

Haha, yeah.

I find myself getting more headshots in CQC than when I actually try to get them.

My only tip: Aim for the head
The movement in CoD4 is so much greater than games like BF2 (with the running animations and such) so it's hard to get a decent headshot.

With the sniper rifle: self explanatory.
With shotgun: Aim around the neck/shoulders, you normally get a headshot for that.
SMG: Spray Neck level.

remeber last night, on overgrown i HS sam who was springting along the bridge on the over side off the map, adn we where by the wooden bridge, man i was lucky, he didnt called me hacker, he compimented me, not like in bf2

Here's what you do. Join FFA servers, with no spawn timer, no hardcore crap, and just aim at peoples heads, FFA servers are by far the quickest ways to get head shots, I got my M4 in one day.
