what is this? i bought the collection pack today could play it earlier today without patching or anything to 1.41 because i heard it came with it... but it says 1.12 or w/e in the game on the main menu. i tried to play when i get out of work and it says something about unmodified content. i tried to patch to 1.41 but everytime i install it still says 1.12 or w/e on the main menu. i cant play the game at all... pretty annoying wtf is going on

Those numbers you see in game dont have anything to do with your version

alright, so why can i not play? why does it keep telling me something about unmodified content? i deleted all the other games except original BF2 patched it 10+ times and still cant play... wonderful

Sorry to ask for the obvious but have you tried to uninstall and reinstall?

Btw, thats your comp specs?

A reinstall usually fixes issues like this.. Btw, download the Project Reality Mod for BF2. Its great for us that like teamwork

You can't return it, you'll only be able to get the same game because of illegal copyrights law :shakehead

Is your system 100% stable? At least run memtest. Update punkbuster and clean cache in my documents bf2 folder.

I have this message sometimes just after loading a map but I am still investigating what causes it. For example, if I run 4x1GB I get it more often than if running only 2x1GB although system passes all other stability tests. Reinstalling game/patch seems to help initially but after a while the problem comes back. Go figure
