Multiplayer Sucks!!!

This is what I'm hearing all too often amongst my colleagues, my clan mates and my friends. What's the deal? Explain this to me please?

I think single player is so brilliantly well done that you feel like you're in the middle of a Jerry Bruckheimer movie like Black Hawk Down and the game play is just amazing. The multilayer is also amazing. I love it. The group of fincs that play it on PC also love it and we play every day.

Why does MP suck? The only difference between my group and the rest is that they all play it on consoles. Is there a huge difference? I thought it was the same game basically, just on different platforms.

Why are there so many people that refuse to get the game because they hear or they think the multi player sucks??

Well, it's harder to play than other FPS's, and spawn kill is frustrating... so...

Just a little bit too much grenade, rocket and air-strike spam, but it's great nonetheless :)

I think some people are turned off by:

• M203 noob tubin'
• Grenade spam
• Perk-enhanced shooting
• Easy knife kills
• Air Strikes
• Choppers

There is a counter to all of those things. You just have to adapt to moving tactically and using loadouts to your advantage.

IMO, people whine and cry about anything. I got thoroughly pwned last night by some clan mates. They wiped the map with my bloody carcass and I ended the night with a .5 K/D ratio :dead:. Yet, it is those experiences which harden one to make better players. But, you can't give up and you can't have a defeatist attitude, either.

I love the MP in Call of Duy 4 :salute:

The Halo fanboys have infiltrated a small population of the console players, and they pass the rumor that COD4's MP sucks. Basically, because those said people weren't able to run in the middle of a street and kill everyone with a rocket launcher and energy sword. In their mind it's not Halo, so it sucks.

Yeah, you know the MP is amazing, and it's up to you to convince your friends that the MP doesn't suck on the consoles.

CoD4 vs Crysis
CoD4 vs Halo

It is its own game!

As for how hard it is to play, I only played BF and I picked up on this game pretty quick and am having a TON of fun.

People shouldnt decide to buy their games based only on a subject line. If they do, then they are too fickle and will find another reason to hate the game anyway.

Consoles DO NOT exist for me. Consoles were made for something else , not for games. And I also think consoles are as gay as World of Warcraft.

I love it when that happens to me. Because then I know I'm not the best on the server. I actually have a challenge.

I never thought of that, that the reason they think it sucks is that there are no energy weapons to make you invincible. I played the single player game on hardened because veteran was just too much for me. With work, sleep and gaming, it took me a week to pass the missions! LOL. So much fun.

I mock my colleagues who have consoles. I think they should all get PCs. I cannot play FPS games without a mouse and keyboard. My first attempt was Goldeneye for N64. I almost vomited. I can only play driving games on those things. I've also never played the other COD games. This is my first.

Those of you who bit the bait with the subject line of this post -- I recommend you read more. Try to understand what you read. It may help. Or maybe this is just Natural Selection in progress.
