PB kicking help please

I just started by bf2142 today only to realize that i keep getting kicked by pb within 5 seconds of joining the game...no matter what server i join...does anyone know how to fix this?

Is it giving you an error before kicking you? It will only display it briefly in the middle of your screen before kicking you out but knowing what it says will make it easier to help you.

no..no message....i play for about 5 seconds...then it freezes..then it says "punkbuster" and thats it...no matter what server i joined...i reinstalled the game...manually updated pb...im running out of options...do i need to buy a new game?...or do you have any way to know whats wrong?

ive done that....it still kicks me....i don't know what else to do....im lost....

did you try using the pbsetup.exe? This will automatically update any punkbuster game. I find it easier to use than the manual file update.

I wasn't cheating...i don't cheat....i did the setup...over and over...it just wont work.....the setup goes fine....it wont work it still keeps kicking me..

make sure that your virus scan/firewall is not accidentally blocking or disabling PnkBstra.exe or PnkBstrb.exe You might have to make manual exceptions for both to ensure that Punkbuster can communicate freely with them. If you look in the windows task manager you should see both of them on the list. I know certain programs like windows firewall and norton antivirus will block them and exceptions have to be added. hope this helps.
